August 16, 2008
Fullback Brian Leonard strained his left shoulder during the second half of Saturday's preseason game against the Chargers, the AP reports.

Our View:If this injury is at all serious, it would further solidify Antonio Pittman's spot as Steven Jackson's primary backup.
July 15, 2008
Brian Leonard is expected to start at fullback in 2008, according to the Belleville News Democrat. He will be backed up by either Richard Owens or Russ Weil.

Our View:Leonard bulked up a little bit to handle more of the lead blocking duties, but should still serve as an offensive weapon too, namely as a pass catcher, which is the reason the Rams selected him in the second round of the 2007 draft.
November 20, 2007
Rams running back Brian Leonard suffered a sore groin muscle in the second half of Sunday’s, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The injury limited Leonard, but it isn’t considered serious. What is it with Rams running backs hurting their groins this season?
October 14, 2007
Brian Leonard returned to Sunday’s game against the Ravens after sitting out a series with an undisclosed injury.

Our View:Leonard appears to be fine, so fantasy owners can forget about his backup Travis Minor for now.
