Tony Hunt has been released by the Eagles, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. The team signed former Packers' linebacker Tracy White as the corresponding move.

Our View:Hunt struggled as a blocker while working at fullback, and did not fare much better while running the ball, with a mere 2.3 yards-per-carry average. He had one rushing touchdown, but ultimately held no fantasy value in standard leagues.

Tony Hunt is set to make his Eagles' preseason debut at fullback tonight against the Patriots, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Coach Andy Reid said, "We're going to give Tony an opportunity there and see how he does. If we like what we see, then we'll give him a little bit more. If we don't, then we'll move on to something else."

Our View:The Eagles have uncertainty at fullback and would like to get Hunt on the field more, so it makes sense for him to get a tryout at the position.

After getting some reps in at fullback during practice, the Philadelphia Eagles have decided to move running back Tony Hunt to the position, according to Sporting News Today.

Our View:Philadelphia does not use a fullback often, so Hunt could still see some time at tailback, though either way his fantasy value is minimal.

Tony Hunt is getting reps at fullback with the starting offense, according to the Eagles' team website.

Our View:Hunt has impressed coach Andy Reid with his offensive skills through training camp and the preseason, and is being tried out at fullback in an attempt to get him on the field.

Tony Hunt scored two short touchdowns in Friday's preseason win over the Panthers. The first score came in the first quarter and at the end of a drive started by Brian Westbrook; the second came in the second quarter and at the end of a drive started by Correll Buckhalter. Perhaps Andy Reid has Hunt in mind when the Eagles get in close during the regular season; we'll monitor his comments closely.
