Free agent safety John Busing has signed with the Bengals, according to their official team website. He takes the roster spot opened Monday when safety Corey Lynch was placed on IR.

Our View:The third-year pro played in 19 games for Cincinnati from 2006-07, contributing 18 special-teams tackles and three tackles on defense. He was with the Bengals in the 2008 preseason, notching two tackles on defense and two on special teams over three games. He was waived in final roster cuts on August 30. He will provide depth in the secondary, but holds no value for IDP leagues.
