December 24, 2008 HC Mike McCarthy is blaming the blocked field goal in the final minute of the fourth quarter of Monday's game on kicker Mason Crosby, not the protection, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette. Our View:This was Crosby's second miss of the year on a potential game-winning kick. He also missed in a 28-27 loss against the Vikings as time expired on November 9th, pushing it wide right. |

November 10, 2008 Mason Crosby commented on his missed field goal attempt from 52 yards with 26 seconds left in Sunday's 28-27 loss to Minnesota, according to the Star Tribune. He said, "The snap, the hold, the protection all seemed great. It was one of those I hit it well. It was unfortunate it moved right and didn't come back." Our View:That was Crosby's fourth miss of the season on 20 field goal attempts, but he has still been a solid fantasy option with 75 points scored. |

June 25, 2008 In an impressive display during last week's mini-camp practices, kicker Mason Crosby drilled several long-range field goals with plenty of distance to spare, according to Packers.com. Our View:Crosby said his offseason work included running a lot of sprints, as well as hurdle drills and box jumping. He focused not just on strengthening his legs, but also his core, and improving his flexibility. He was the top kicker in fantasy football last year, and it's good to hear he is taking his professional career seriously. |
