Browns' GM Phil Savage has been very pleased with the prospect of Brandon McDonald replacing the injured Daven Holly as a starting cornerback this season, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Savage said, "McDonald had an outstanding two weeks of organized team activities, and I'm not just saying that because of Holly's injury. He was pushing to start with Holly healthy."

Our View:The team is still looking for a veteran cornerback, but as of now McDonald and Eric Wright are the acting starters. McDonald made two interceptions last season, and his fantasy stock is on the rise.

Brandon McDonald has moved into the starting spot at cornerback following the injury departure of Daven Holly, according to ClevelandBrowns.com. Eric Wright is working at the other starting spot.

Our View:McDonald emerged late in the season of his rookie campaign in 2007 and gained confidence by being awarded two starts. He has looked good so far in the OTA sessions, and will need to step up in his second season as Holly's injury is believed to be serious. McDonald made two interceptions last season, and his fantasy stock is on the rise.

Brandon McDonald could potentially start in 2008, according to the Akron Beacon Journal. Coach Crennel commented that McDonald and Daven Holly will get the first chance to compete for the starting job vacated by Leigh Bodden. Crennel also said that the runner-up would be the nickel back.
