December 29, 2008 Tyler Thigpen commented Sunday that he believes he deserves to be the Chiefs' starting quarterback for next season, according to the Our View:The Chiefs only won two games this season, but Thigpen did a decent job while throwing 18 touchdown passes and 12 interceptions over 14 games in his first year as a starter. |

December 21, 2008 Quarterback Tyler Thigpen completed 20-of-41 passes for 320 yards with three touchdowns (2 pass, 1 rush) against three interceptions in the Week 16 loss to Miami. Our View:The three interceptions hurt in leagues that subtract points for turnovers, but the rushing touchdown made up for the miscues. |

Our View:It will be interesting to see how the warm weather Dolphins adapt to these conditions. We expect this game to be played close to the vest, meaning a substantial helping of running plays being called by both teams. |

Our View:The Chiefs have lost 21 of the past 23 games under Edwards, who recently received the dreaded vote of confidence from owner Clark Hunt. Stay tuned. |

December 14, 2008 Quarterback Tyler Thigpen completed 19-of-28 passes for 171 yards, one score, and one pick in the Week 15 loss to the Chargers. He also rushed 10 times for 40 yards and a touchdown. Our View:Thigpen isn't the safest guy to bet on, but he does have multiple scores in five of the last eight games. He did enough to earn a win today, too, but two missed field goals hurt. |
