Vikings cornerback Charles Gordon may have surgery very soon for his broken left ankle after seeing a specialist on Wednesday, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Our View:Gordon was the team's nickel back, but is lost for the year.
November 10, 2008
Charles Gordon will be placed on season-ending IR and will undergo surgery at some point this week after sustaining a dislocated left ankle in Sunday's battle with Green Bay, according to the Star Tribune.

Our View:Gordon is not a solid NFL cornerback and held little fantasy value for IDP leagues, but will be missed on special teams.
November 9, 2008
Charles Gordon was lost for the season on Sunday when he broke his ankle, according to the AP.

Our View:Coach Brad Childress said Gordon needed to have a pin inserted into his leg, indicating a bad break, and he's undoubtedly lost for the remainder of the season.
August 29, 2008
Charles Gordon has seemingly won the job as the Vikings nickel back, beating out Benny Sapp and Marcus McCauley, according to Sporting News Today.

Our View:Gordon will not affect fantasy owners much, and the Vikings D/ST value still hinges on the work of their secondary overall.
August 4, 2008
Charles Gordon is currently leading Benny Sapp and Marcus McCauley in the battle for the nickel role in the Vikings' secondary, according to the Star Tribune.

Our View:Gordon could see the field often while the opposition employs multiple-receiver sets, especially against Green Bay, and Gordon could be worth a look in very deep IDP leagues.
