Quinton Culberson will step into the Rams' starting lineup at strongside linebacker with Chris Draft out 2-6 weeks with a broken bone in his right foot, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:Culberson looked good at times in limited action as a rookie in 2007, and is worth consideration in deeper IDP leagues.

Rams linebacker Quinton Culberson and Titans safety Calvin Lowry were each fined $7,500 for making horse collar tackles during the two team's exhibition contest last Saturday, according to The Tennessean.

Our View:Culberson horse-collared Alge Crumpler, while Lowry got Rams receiver Dane Looker. Only Lowry was flagged for a penalty.

Quinton Culberson, an undrafted rookie from Mississippi State, figures to compete for the starting job at strongside linebacker with Chris Draft, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. When last we saw Quinton Culberson, he was hauling down everything wearing red and white in the Rams' season-ending loss at Arizona. Making his first regular-season NFL start, Culberson piled up a team-high 14 tackles and forced a fumble in the 48-19 defeat Dec. 30. The Rams will have to beef up their personnel at linebacker: only five are under contract. At this point, Culberson and veteran Chris Draft are the leading contenders to join Will Witherspoon and Pisa Tinoisamoa in the lineup. If Culberson is able to make the leap, Draft can remain as a valued reserve at all three-linebacker spots, with Tim McGarigle also providing backup.
