The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that David Jones has emerged as the No. 3 cornerback early in training camp behind starters Johnathan Joseph and Leon Hall. He was drafted last year by the Saints, appeared only on special teams and was later waived before the Bengals picked him up.

Our View:Good for Jones, bad for Bengals. Is this the best they could do? Marvin Lewis claims Jones learned a lot on the fly last year as a rookie, worked hard in the offseason and made great strides. Let's hope he's right or the Bengals secondary looks to get roasted again this season. Deltha O'Neal is in camp and supposedly looking good, but hasn't impressed to the level that Jones has.
