Our View:Franklin is a promising rookie, but we didn't expect him to play due to his knee ailment. He should challenge Devard Darling for a starting spot as the season continues. |

September 4, 2008 Chiefs rookie wide receiver Will Franklin may not be ready to play Week 1 against the Patriots, as he is still recovering from knee surgery, according to the Our View:Franklin had been getting plenty of opportunities to earn some playing time, and had he not had this injury, he may have been a starter. Alas, he'll have to wait until his knee is healthy before that can happen. Fantasy owners should not have him on their squad until he proves he will be able to contribute. |
