Brad Johnson was on a short leash to begin the game against the Giants, and got pulled after going five for eleven for just 71 yards and two interceptions.

Our View:Even all of the offensive weapons Johnson has around him couldn't help him succeed against New York. He very easily could start next week on the bench behind Brooks Bollinger if Tony Romo can't go. Romo is currently expected to return on November 16th after the Cowboys' bye.

The Cowboys are displeased with Brad Johnson's inability to throw the ball down the field, and may consider replacing him at quarterback, according to ESPN. He only passed for 122 yards in Sunday's win over the Buccaneers, and is taking Terrell Owens, and his tenacity as a deep threat, out of the offense.

Our View:Johnson is likely to start in Week 9 against the division rival Giants, but a high-ranking team source noted that the team will consider other options. Brooks Bollinger is currently the top backup while Tony Romo continues to recover from his broken pinkie.

For the second straight week Brad Johnson will get the start under center for the Cowboys, according to the Sports Network.

Our View:Johnson did not have a good week last week in the Cowboys loss to the Rams. Once again this week Johnson does not have much fantasy value even though he has many weapons at his disposal.

Adam Schefter of the NFL Network confirmed that Brad Johnson will start for the Cowboys today in place of the injured Tony Romo (fractured pinkie). Coach Wade Phillips said, "He's an experienced winner. There's a lot of backup quarterbacks who go in and play, but the team has to believe in the guy. A guy who has all of the experience and has won all of the games he's won and takes command like he does, has prepared to play every week, I think the team reacts positively to."

Our View:Brooks Bollinger will serve as the No. 2 quarterback as well. Johnson could be rusty in his first start of the season, but does have a favorable match-up against the Rams' 25th ranked pass defense.

Dallas quarterback Brad Johnson's brother-in-law is Georgia head coach Mark Richt, and Terrell Owens is from Alabama, so the two made a friendly wager on the outcome of the Georgia-Alabama game. The Crimson Tide crushed the Bulldogs, so Johnson had to pay up, according to the Dallas Morning News. During the team's practice, Johnson had to wear black tights and a Terrell Owens Tennessee-Chattanooga throwback jersey.

Our View:Tights are probably not the greatest look for the 40-year-old Johnson, but a bet is a bet. Owens would have had to wear Zuba pants (zebra print pants, basically) and an old Johnson Florida State jersey.
