Keyshawn Johnson said he's still "seriously" considering a comeback but that never came up when he spoke to Bill Parcells last month, according to the Miami Herald.

Our View:Pure speculation, but Miami is reportedly looking to upgrade their wide receiver depth chart behind Ted Ginn and Ernest Wilford. Terry Glenn's name has been mentioned in passing as a possibility, and now Johnson could be throwing his name into the mix.

Keyshawn Johnson is seriously contemplating a return to the NFL, according to Yahoo.com. "I like challenges," Johnson told Yahoo Sports on Monday. "The challenge of helping to turn a team around, to help get it to the next level, that gets my competitive fires burning. I have the itch, and right now I'm trying to decide how strong that itch is." Johnson, 35, turned down a two-year contract offer in May ‘07 worth nearly $8 million from the Tennessee Titans, instead signing a lucrative, four-year deal with ESPN. Johnson, who posted 70 receptions, 815 yards and four scores for the Carolina Panthers in 2006, will likely desire a contract larger than most NFL organizations are willing to offer, if he decides to give up his cushy ESPN gig.

Bill Parcells has apparently reached out to retired WR Keyshawn Johnson to see if Keyshawn may want to resume his career with the Miami Dolphins according to CBS4. Johnson and Parcells have worked together before including most recently at ESPN as analysts. The Dolphins need talent all over the field, and it matter's little how old that talent is. Johnson could conceivably be a decent possession receiver if he were to re-enter the NFL at age 36, but he will have to shake the rust off after a year of sitting pretty in the studio.

Now, I’m going to live another dream. I think today is not as emotional as the last two weeks, thinking about it. There were times there were sleepless nights, wondering if this was the right thing to do.” Johnson has accepted an analyst position with ESPN.
