Kurt Warner, QB

Kurt Warner says he will seriously consider hanging up his cleats at the end of the 2008 season after witnessing the devastating hit to teammate Anquan Boldin, according to the Associated Press. Warner sent a text message to his wife immediately after the hit on Boldin last week in which he apparently expressed his desire to consider the quality of life he will have with his family when he is done playing football.

Our View:The surprise isn't that these thoughts went through Warner's mind, the surprise is that they became public knowledge. The 37 year old QB can still bring it on game day, though you can't down a guy for wanting to be there for his family after taking a beating during his career. He will remain the starter, and a good one at that, for now.

Anquan Boldin, WR

The Arizona Republic suggests that Anquan Boldin could miss Week 6 against Dallas.

Our View:The Cardinals do not intend to rush him back, which is reasonable since the team is 3-2 at the top of the NFC West and Steve Breaston is performing well in Boldin's absence.

Ben Patrick sustained a knee injury while being tackled in Sunday's win over Buffalo, according to the East Valley Tribune.

Our View:He was in and out of the lineup following the injury. He was previously recovering from a high ankle sprain.
