Cornerback David Jones took a shot to the head during the first half of Sunday's season opener, and he did not return, the Cincinnati Enquirer notes.

Our View:Jones is a second-year back and a backup behind Leon Hall. This injury could hurt the Bengals depth but won't hinder IDP fantasy clubs.

Carson Palmer, QB

Carson Palmer struggled in his season opener against the Ravens. He completed only 10-of-25 passes for 99 yards, no scores, and one inerception.

Our View:Palmer has had his share of mixed performances against the Ravens in the past, but this was pretty bad. It was the first time Palmer had been on the field with both Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh, and they may not have been on the same page.

Wide receiver Chad Johnson will wear "Johnson" on the back of his jersey in Week 1. The NFL has told him to hold off on the "Ocho Cinco" designation until they check into it more, ESPN reports.

Our View:Ugh. Chad does a great job of keeping his name in the news, doesn't he?
