Fred Taylor, RB Friday 11/21, 6:45 PM CT
Fred Taylor fully practiced Friday, according to the Jaguars' official website. He had been dealing with a neck ailment.

Our View: He should be able to play, but is not a recommended fantasy option against the Vikings' No. 2 ranked run defense.
Matt Jones, WR Friday 11/21, 2:20 PM CT
Jaguars.com reports that wide receiver Matt Jones (thigh) practiced in full on Friday and should play against the Vikings on Sunday.

Our View: Jones has been the best receiver in Jacksonville by a long shot. He's a good bet to produce against an iffy Vikings' secondary.
Matt Jones, WR Friday 11/21, 10:12 AM CT
The Florida Times-Union reports that Jaguars wide receiver Matt Jones, who was limited in practice Thursday because of his thigh injury after going full-time Wednesday, remains in legal limbo with the NFL on his possible suspension. Jones said he still hasn't heard anything from the league about his appeal of a possible suspension stemming from his drug arrest last July.

Our View: For a league that is so concerned about it's image and lightning quick to hand out fines and suspensions, there seems to be some sort of hang up with Jones. Or maybe sitting in a car, cutting up cocaine, is not a rules violation.
Rashean Mathis, CB Wednesday 11/19, 5:03 PM CT
Rashean Mathis missed Wednesday's practice, according to the Jaguars' official site.

Our View: Mathis is valuable in IDP leagues, so we'll keep you updated on his status for the weekend.
Fred Taylor, RB Wednesday 11/19, 4:55 PM CT
Fred Taylor did not practice on Wednesday due to a neck injury, according to the Jaguars' official site.

Our View: Taylor has yet to find the end zone this season, but he has received double-digit carries each of the last two weeks, there's still some flex value in good matchups. That said, a Week 12 matchup against Minnesota doesn't fit that profile.
Matt Jones, WR Wednesday 11/19, 4:53 PM CT
Matt Jones had a full practice on Wednesday, according to the Jaguars' official site.

Our View: Jones hasn't had a ton of fantasy value this year, only reaching 100 yards once and the end zone twice.
Maurice Jones-Drew, RB Sunday 11/16, 7:06 PM CT
Maurice Jones-Drew gained just 66 yards on 17 carries Sunday against the Titans, but two of those totes were goal-line scores.

Our View: MJD now has six touchdowns over the last three weeks and 11 scores overall on the year. Fred Taylor fared better on the ground today, gaining 58 yards on 12 totes, but MoJo is clearly the man at the stripe.
David Garrard, QB Sunday 11/16, 7:04 PM CT
David Garrard had an ugly day Sunday, completing only 13-of-30 passes while getting picked off in the loss to Tennessee.

Our View: Garrard played very poorly in both games against the Titans this year, but you can't hold that totally against him.
Matt Jones, WR Saturday 11/15, 11:03 AM CT
Matt Jones (thigh) will be a game-time call for Sunday's battle with Tennessee, according to the Florida Times-Union. Coach Jack Del Rio said, "He's still pretty sore. We'll have to take a look at him on game day and then make a decision."

Our View: Jones has been productive with 50 receptions for 586 yards over nine games, but should be left on the bench in fantasy leagues if able to play against the Titans' 12th ranked pass defense that has only allowed five scores through the air.
Rashean Mathis, CB Friday 11/14, 5:58 PM CT
Rashean Mathis had his second straight full practice on Friday and is listed as probable, according to the Jaguars' official site.

Our View: If you have Mathis in a IDP league, he's probably safe to start at this point. He's owned in about a fifth of leagues.
Matt Jones, WR Friday 11/14, 5:53 PM CT
Matt Jones missed all of practice on Friday after being limited on Thursday, according to the Jaguars official site.

Our View: Jones is listed as questionable for Sunday. Fantasy owners should probably go with other options if they have them.
John Henderson, DT Friday 11/14, 4:36 PM CT
John Henderson didn't practice this week and will miss Sunday's game against the Titans, according to the Jaguars' official site.

Our View: Henderson hasn't been healthy enough to have fantasy value lately and his absence has also hurt the Jaguars' defense as a whole.
Fred Taylor, RB Friday 11/14, 4:34 PM CT
Fred Taylor had a full practice for the second straight day on Friday, according to the Jaguars official site.

Our View: Taylor hasn't had much fantasy value this season, as he's yet to find the end zone this year.
Mike Peterson, LB Friday 11/14, 3:41 PM CT
Mike Peterson has been unseated by Daryl Smith as the Jaguars' starting middle linebacker, according to ESPN.

Our View: Peterson is the Jaguars' leading tackler (49), but fell out of favor with coach Jack Del Rio for challenging him in a meeting, which led to his demotion. Justin Durant will move to the weakside with Clint Ingram roaming the strongside.
Rashean Mathis, CB Thursday 11/13, 4:52 PM CT
Rashean Mathis (foot) returned to full participation at practice on Thursday in preparation to face the Titans, according to the Jaguars Official Website.

Our View: The Titans don't exactly run out stars at the wide receiver position, but it's still good news for the Jaguars who should have Mathis in their backfield.
Fred Taylor, RB Thursday 11/13, 4:49 PM CT
Fred Taylor, who missed practice on Wednesday due to a neck injury, returned to full participation on Thursday, according to the Jaguars Official Website.

Our View: Facing the tough Titans defense, Taylor makes a poor bet this weekend, especially given his recent ineffectiveness on the gridiron.
Matt Jones, WR Thursday 11/13, 4:47 PM CT
Matt Jones was limited at practice due to a thigh injury on Thursday a day after he missed practice entirely, according to the Jaguars Official Website.

Our View: Everyone keeps waiting for the suspension train to hit Jones, but we are still waiting. If Jones returns to full participation on Friday, he should be considered a lock to play this weekend.
Mike Peterson, LB Wednesday 11/12, 4:35 PM CT
Mike Peterson was back on the field in his familiar spot in the middle of Jacksonville's defense Wednesday. He's unsure how long he will remain there though, according to the AP. Peterson believes the Jaguars are ready to move in another direction. "The season's not going well, older guy, move him out of the way and get ready for next year," Peterson said. "I guess that's the way it is. That's the way I'm taking it."

Our View: Head coach Jack Del Rio did not have a comment on the situation after practice and as of right now, Peterson will be on the field this weekend.
Mike Peterson, LB Sunday 11/9, 7:40 PM CT
Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Mike Peterson, sent home earlier in the week from practices, did not dress for Sunday's game at Detroit. He will also be fined $10,000 for what the Jaguars are calling "insubordination" this week, according to NFL.com.

Our View: Head coach Jack Del Rio said that he would keep the captain out and he stuck to his guns. Peterson should be back in the lineup next week.
Fred Taylor, RB Sunday 11/9, 5:00 PM CT
Running back Fred Taylor rushed 18 times for 80 yards in the Week 10 win over the Lions. He moved up to 11,073 rushing yards for his career, making him the 18th player in NFL history to surpass the 11,000-yard mark.

Our View: Fred also breathed some life into his flagging 2008 campaign. The Lions have a habit making opposing players look good. We remain wary of Taylor's prospects moving forward.
Derrick Harvey, DE Sunday 11/9, 3:52 PM CT
Defensive end Derrick Harvey recorded 1.5 sacks in the Week 10 win over the Lions. The rookie entered the contest with only five solo stops and no sacks.

Our View: Harvey hurt himself with a long preseason holdout, but we hope this is a sign of things to come. The Jags badly need someone to put life into their pass rush.
Jerry Porter, WR Sunday 11/9, 3:30 PM CT
Wide receiver Jerry Porter caught two passes for 33 yards and a touchdown in the Week 10 win over the Lions.

Our View: Yes, Jerry Porter is alive. We can only hope he is ready to step up when Matt Jones eventually serves out his looming suspension.
David Garrard, QB Sunday 11/9, 3:04 PM CT
Quarterback David Garrard completed 18-of-25 passes for 238 yards, two touchdowns, and no picks in the Week 10 win over the Lions. He also rushed twice for 10 yards.

Our View: Garrard hasn't had a particularly good season, but he heated up in the second half last year and might use this performance as a confidence boost. He is an okay fantasy play against weaker opponents.
Maurice Jones-Drew, RB Sunday 11/9, 3:00 PM CT
Running back Maurice Jones-Drew rushed 11 times for 70 yards and three touchdowns in the Week 10 win over the Lions. He chipped in two catches for 21 yards. All three of his scores came in the second quarter.

Our View: Jones-Drew is up to nine touchdowns on the season, a total which makes up for his general lack of yardage. We realize this huge effort came against the lowly Lions, but hopefully the Jags offensive line can use the showing to give them more confidence moving forward.
Matt Jones, WR Sunday 11/9, 2:22 PM CT
Wide receiver Matt Jones injured his thigh during the third quarter of the Week 10 game against the Lions, the AP reports.

Our View: We're not sure how bad the ailment is, but we don't expect Jones to push it when the Jags are up by comfortable margin.
Fred Taylor, RB Sunday 11/9, 11:40 AM CT
Running back Fred Taylor (knee) is active for thew Week 10 tilt against the Lions.

Our View: Taylor is expected to start and see his usual share of the workload against the Lions. Fred needs to start picking up his pace if he hopes to keep his gig over Maurice Jones-Drew.
Mike Peterson, LB Sunday 11/9, 10:59 AM CT
Linebacker Mike Peterson is inactive for the Week 10 game against the Lions.

Our View: Head coach Jack Del Rio stuck to his guns and is keeping the captain out. Daryl Smith is expected to start in his place and could be a decent IDP play.
William James, CB Sunday 11/9, 10:57 AM CT
Week 10 inactives: CB William James, RB Chauncey Washington, CB Brian Witherspoon, LB Mike Peterson, OL Drew Miller, G Milford Brown, WR Mike Walker, DT John Henderson.

Our View: The Jags defense could be soft up the middle without Peterson and Henderson. Maurice Jones-Drew could handle both kickoffs and punts with Witherspoon on the sidelines.
John Henderson, DT Sunday 11/9, 10:03 AM CT
Defensive tackle John Henderson (knee) will miss the Week 10 game against the Lions, the Orlando Sentinel confirms. He sprained his MCL last Sunday. Tony McDaniel and Jimmy Kennedy will need to step up.

Our View: The Jaguars defense could be soft without Henderson and possibly without linebacker Mike Peterson. It's too bad the Lions may not be good enough to take advantage.
Mike Peterson, LB Saturday 11/8, 12:56 PM CT
Jacksonville head coach Jack Del Rio could be losing the ears of his team due to his actions surrounding team captain Mike Peterson, amid other actions, such as banning music in the locker room, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View: Peterson was sent home for two days for trying to explain why he flexed his muscles after a sack when his team was down 21-3. At 3-5, Jacksonville can't win the AFC South behind 8-0 Tennessee, and Del Rio's actions could lead to a bad year becoming even worse.
Mike Peterson, LB Friday 11/7, 9:04 AM CT
Mike Peterson has been reinstated after being sent away from the Jaguars for two days, according to the Florida Times-Union. He met with coach Jack Del Rio and the pair settled their differences, after Peterson agitated the coach for challenging him in a team meeting earlier in the week.

Our View: This is encouraging news, but Del Rio is yet to announce Peterson's playing status for Week 10 against Detroit.
Mike Peterson, LB Thursday 11/6, 7:00 PM CT
Updating an earlier report, Mike Peterson will meet with HC Jack Del Rio on Friday morning to discuss Peterson's future with the team, according to ESPN.

Our View: The meeting could go either way, with Peterson returning to the team immediately or even being released. He has not been ruled out of Sunday's game against Detroit.
Mike Peterson, LB Thursday 11/6, 12:49 PM CT
Mike Peterson was sent home Wednesday due to insubordination in a team meeting, according to ESPN.

Our View: Peterson was on a list of players Del Rio was calling out during the meeting. Del Rio made it clear he wanted no feedback from the players, but Peterson challenged Del Rio on a specific incident for which he was cited by the coach. Peterson's status on Thursday was unknown, but Del Rio was expected to clarify it.
Mike Walker, WR Thursday 11/6, 12:37 PM CT
Mike Walker returned to practice and is expected to play Sunday at Detroit, according to the Florida Times-Union. He had been recovering from a knee injury.

Our View: Walker hauled in six receptions for 107 yards in his last game back on October 5 against the Steelers, and could emerge as a sleeper this weekend against the Lions' 29th ranked pass defense.
Fred Taylor, RB Wednesday 11/5, 8:34 PM CT
Running back Fred Taylor did not practice on Wednesday because of an injured knee, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Taylor can still put up good yardage but he hasn't seen the end zone at all this year.
John Henderson, DT Wednesday 11/5, 7:39 PM CT
Defensive tackle John Henderson has a sprained MCL according to the AP. His status for Week 10 is uncertain.

Our View: Henderson is a big part of the Jaguars defense and his absence would be a signigicant one in Week 10. He made the Pro Bowl last season.
Mike Peterson, LB Wednesday 11/5, 4:55 PM CT
Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio sent linebacker Mike Peterson home Wednesday, two days after Del Rio questioned his team's chemistry, according to the AP.

Our View: Peterson is one of the best performers on the Jaguars defense. There is no word out of Jacksonville if he will be forced to miss any game time.
Drayton Florence, CB Monday 11/3, 4:47 PM CT
Cornerback Drayton Florence has been removed from the starting lineup, according to the Jaguars' website.

Our View: Florence has been a huge disappointment for the Jaguars and they cannot afford his weak coverage any further. Brian Williams moves from safety to corner.
Brian Williams, CB Monday 11/3, 4:44 PM CT
The Jaguars' website reports that Brian Williams will move from safety back to cornerback to replace the disappointing Drayton Florence. Gerald Sensabaugh will start at strong safety and Florence figures to be a nickelback.

Our View: Williams has had a pleasant season with two interceptions and 40 solo tackles. He may need a game or two to get used to his old position, but he should perform well down the stretch for Jacksonville.
Jerry Porter, WR Monday 11/3, 4:40 PM CT
The Jaguars' website reports that coach Jack Del Rio promised more opportunities for wide receiver Jerry Porter going forward. He is still recovering from a July hamstring injury.

Our View: It's hard to give him any less opportunities. He only has three catches in five games. Porter was acquired in the offseason to be the team's No. 1 wide receiver. A looming suspension for Matt Jones figures to boost Porter's production and he could make an impact for some fantasy rosters. However, it's better to wait and see if Porter can produce before granting him a roster spot.
Maurice Jones-Drew, RB Sunday 11/2, 3:54 PM CT
Running back Maurice Jones-Drew posted 10 carries for 33 yards and a touchdown in the Week 9 loss to Cincinnati.

Our View: Jones-Drew, who also chipped in two receptions for 29 yards, has rushed for 32 or fewer yards in five of seven games this season. But he has managed to score a touchdown in three of the past four weeks.
John Henderson, DT Sunday 11/2, 2:39 PM CT
Defensive tackle John Henderson was ejected in the third quarter of the game against Cincinnati.

Our View: Henderson was ejected following a skirmish with Bengals' OT Andrew Whitworth.
Mike Walker, WR Sunday 11/2, 11:06 AM CT
Jaguars inactives: WR Mike Walker, OG Charles Spencer, RB Chauncey Washington, C Drew Miller, CB Omare Lowe, LB Thomas Williams, DL Tony McDaniel, CB William James.

Our View: Walker is inactive due to an ongoing knee injury, but Reggie Williams (hamstring) will start.
Matt Jones, WR Saturday 11/1, 10:01 AM CT
Coach Jack Del Rio referred to Matt Jones as the team's No. 1 wide receiver, according to the Florida Times Union. He is facing a three-game suspension, but his appeal will likely make him available for Sunday's game.

Our View: Jones has 38 catches for 455 yards in seven games, but only has two touchdowns. He is a good third receiver in most leagues.
