Brodie Croyle, QB

Brodie Croyle suffered a separated right shoulder in Sunday's season opener, the Kansas City Star reports. The team has not said how long they expect him to be out. His arm was in a sling after the game.

Our View:If you recall, Eli Manning separated his right shoulder in the season opener last year. Reports initially said he'd miss a month, and he ended up suiting up in Week 2. In other words, we imagine it will take a day or three for the Chiefs to figure out how bad this injury is. Damon Huard stands to start if Croyle is out.

Dwayne Bowe, WR

Dwayne Bowe caught five passes for 49 yards and a touchdown in the season opener against the Patriots.

Our View:Bowe caught three of his passes, including his score, shortly after Damon Huard replaced an injured Brodie Croyle. The second-year receiver might be better off if the veteran passer stuck around as the starter.

Our View:We imagine Croyle is questionable for his return, and after leading the team to only three points, this might be a blessing in disguise. We'll update Brodie's status when more is known.
