Luis Castillo, DE Friday 11/21, 7:16 PM CT
Luis Castillo is expected to miss Week 12 due to his groin injury, according to the Chargers' official website.

Our View: Castillo holds no value in IDP leagues this season, but is an elite defensive end, and Peyton Manning and the Colts' offense will benefit by his his absence.
Craig Davis, WR Wednesday 11/19, 8:51 PM CT
Craig Davis has been placed on the injured reserve, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Davis has been a big disappointment after being a first-round pick in 2007. He only played in four games this season.
Antonio Cromartie, CB Wednesday 11/19, 6:37 PM CT
Antonio Cromartie was limited in practice on Wednesday, according to the Chargers' official site.

Our View: Cromartie is fairly productive for IDP owners with two picks and 50 tackles this season. We'll keep you updated on his status for Sunday.
LaDainian Tomlinson, RB Monday 11/17, 8:28 PM CT
The Boston Globe reports that following the Chargers' loss to the Steelers on Sunday, LaDainian Tomlinson said he could feel the season slipping away. "I really do. We are two games back. We're not out of it but its like, the blown opportunities we keep on talking about, when we could have been easily tied with Denver right now. And whenever you keep blowing opportunities, then at some point, as they say, opportunities don't come about anymore. It's like when the opportunity comes, you open the door and take it. If you don't, it passes you by and goes to someone else."

Our View: He was held to 57 yards on 18 carries by the Steelers, although he did score his first touchdown rushing in six games. Slowed earlier in the season by a toe injury, the two-time defending NFL rushing champion and 2006 NFL MVP has only 686 yards and a per-carry average of 3.8 yards. He's on pace to finish with 1,098 yards. His previous lowest total was 1,236 yards as a rookie in 2001, when he averaged 3.6 yards per carry.
Vincent Jackson, WR Monday 11/17, 9:57 AM CT
Chargers wideout Vincent Jackson dropped a pass in the team's 11-10 loss to Pittsburgh, and it was the third consecutive game he has done so, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Our View: Jackson caught two balls for 25 yards for his worst game of the year. He is still a solid No. 2 or 3 WR for fantasy owners depending on the matchup, but it should be noted for owners in PPR leagues that he has three or fewer receptions in half of his 10 games this year.
LaDainian Tomlinson, RB Sunday 11/16, 7:12 PM CT
LaDainian Tomlinson ran for 57 yards and a score on 13 carries in the loss to the Steelers Sunday. He also added three receptions for 40 yards.

Our View: This is about the best you could hope for from LT against a tough Pittsburgh D.
Philip Rivers, QB Sunday 11/16, 7:10 PM CT
The Steelers showed why they have the best passing defense in the league Sunday, as they held Philip Rivers to just 159 yards while picking him off twice in a hard fought 11-10 Pittsburgh victory.

Our View: This breaks a string of 16 straight games with at least one TD pass for Philip, and he had thrown multiple TDs in his last four contests.
Craig Davis, WR Sunday 11/16, 1:59 PM CT
Chiefs inactives: QB Charlie Whitehurst (3rd), CB Cletis Gordon, DB Steve Gregory, CB DeJuan Tibble, G Kynan Forney, WR Craig Davis, FB Kris Wilson, DT Ian Scott.

Our View: The Bolts had a fairly clean injury report this week, and none of the players on this list are fantasy relevant.
Antonio Gates, TE Saturday 11/15, 9:58 AM CT
If Antonio Gates can reach the endzone Sunday at Pittsburgh, he would become the fastest tight end to score 50 touchdowns, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Our View: Gates has 49 touchdowns through 86 career games, and the current fastest to 50 is former Redskins' tight end Jerry Smith, who took 100 games to reach the milestone. It took Tony Gonzalez 118 games to reach 50.
Craig Davis, WR Saturday 11/15, 9:55 AM CT
Craig Davis will miss Week 11 with his groin injury, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Our View: Even if he was able to play, he would not do much damage against a tough Steelers' pass defense.
Michael Bennett, RB Wednesday 11/12, 7:44 PM CT
Running back Michael Bennett was released by the Buccaneers on Tuesday but he wasn't out of a job for long. On Wednesday, the Chargers signed the veteran back, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View: Bennett did not have any fantasy value when he was with the Buccaneers and that will not change with the Chargers.
Derek Smith, LB Wednesday 11/12, 6:08 PM CT
Derek Smith was released by the Chargers on Wednesday to make room for Michael Bennett, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View: Smith has only tallied 13 tackles and no sacks in 2008.
Steve Gregory, S Tuesday 11/11, 11:17 PM CT
Safety Steve Gregory suffered a concussion during Week 10's game and will be evaluated later in the week, according to the AP.

Our View: Gregory is the Chargers best special teams player but doesn't have any fantasy value.
LaDainian Tomlinson, RB Sunday 11/9, 8:35 PM CT
LaDainian Tomlinson rushed for 78 yards and also caught four balls for 39 yards in the Chargers' 20-19 win over the Chiefs.

Our View: Tomlinson passed O.J. Simpson and Corey Dillon for 15th place on the all-time rushing list at 11,279 yards.
Antonio Gates, TE Sunday 11/9, 6:47 PM CT
Antonio Gates reached the end zone for the sixth time on the year in Sunday's 20-19 win over the Chiefs.

Our View: Gates caught eight passes for 66 yards and it looks like he is almost back to 100%.
Philip Rivers, QB Sunday 11/9, 6:43 PM CT
Philip Rivers threw for his fourth 300 yard game in the Chargers' 20-19 win over the Chiefs. Rivers completed 27-of-36 passes for 316 yards and two touchdown.

Our View: Rivers has now thrown for 21 touchdown passes to only eight interceptions.
Chris Chambers, WR Sunday 11/9, 2:13 PM CT
As expected, wide receiver Chris Chambers (ankle) is active for the Week 10 tilt against the Chiefs, but Malcom Floyd will start in his place.

Our View: Chambers and the Bolts offense have a very, very good matchup against a banged-up and bad Chiefs defense. He is a decent start despite coming off the bench.
Charlie Whitehurst, QB Sunday 11/9, 2:10 PM CT
Week 10 inactives: QB Charlie Whitehurst (3rd), LB Anthony Waters, LB Derek Smith, G Kynan Forney, OT Corey Clark, WR Buster Davis, TE Kris Wilson, DT Ian Scott.

Our View: Chris Chambers, Antonio Cromartie, and Jamal Williams are all active. The Bolts are a healthy club heading into this tilt with the Chiefs.
Chris Chambers, WR Friday 11/7, 7:04 PM CT
Chris Chambers practiced without limits on Friday, according to the Chargers' official site.

Our View: Chambers should be in your lineup this weekend against the Chiefs.
Chris Chambers, WR Friday 11/7, 1:19 PM CT
Chris Chambers is practicing on a limited basis and is expected to play Sunday against the Chiefs, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. He has been recovering from an ankle injury.

Our View: He has scored five touchdowns this season, and is worth employing in fantasy lineups if able to go in a favorable match-up against Kansas City. Check back for an official confirmation that he will play.
Craig Davis, WR Friday 11/7, 11:22 AM CT
Craig Davis is fully practicing again following his bout with a groin injury, but has lost his No. 3 role to Malcom Floyd, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Our View: Davis holds no fantasy value, as he only registered four receptions for 59 yards over four games.
Antonio Cromartie, CB Thursday 11/6, 9:44 PM CT
Antonio Cromartie returned to limited practice on Thursday, according to the Chargers' official site.

Our View: He should play Sunday if he doesn't have any setbacks during practice on Friday. The Chargers' defense has a very favorable match up on Sunday against the Chiefs.
Chris Chambers, WR Thursday 11/6, 9:35 PM CT
Chris Chambers returned to limited practice on Thursday, according to the Chargers' official site.

Our View: Chambers will likely play on Sunday in a favorable match up against the Chiefs, but we'll keep you posted on his status.
Chris Chambers, WR Thursday 11/6, 11:48 AM CT
Chris Chambers missed practice Wednesday while nursing his ankle injury, according to the Chargers' official website.

Our View: He will likely play in Week 10 against the Chiefs, but could be limited by the injury. He has scored five touchdowns, but on only 16 receptions, and will be a risky fantasy option if able to go.
