Orlando Pace, T Friday 11/21, 2:38 PM CT
The Belleville News-Democrat reports that Rams' coach Jim Haslett is optimistic that left tackle Orlando Pace will be back playing sooner than later. Pace was estimated to miss two to four weeks with a knee injury. "I think Orlando will be ready to play in a week or two," Haslett said. "He might be ready next week. He was out there jogging today. I thought he did a pretty good job and he's going to get a brace and put that on."

Our View: Until he returns, we can probably expect more of the same from St. Louis' lame-duck offense.
Steven Jackson, RB Friday 11/21, 2:36 PM CT
The News Democrat reports that St. Louis Rams coach Jim Haslett said running back Steven Jackson's thigh injury was an example of how missing training camp can come back to haunt a player. "Guys don't go to training camp, and when they come back, they either pull a hip flexor, groin, something, and you hope it's nothing major that keeps them out," Haslett said. Haslett said Jackson's injury is related to him missing the first 27 days of the preseason, including all of the team's training camp during a contract holdout.

Our View: Jackson will sit out for the fourth time in five games this Sunday against the Chicago Bears because of a strained quadriceps muscle in his right leg that he suffered on October 19 against the Dallas Cowboys. The coach was blunt in saying that he was "mystified" that this injury has kept the running back out so long.
Steven Jackson, RB Thursday 11/20, 3:38 PM CT
Steven Jackson will test his ailing thigh with a vigorous workout Saturday, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Jackson will miss this weekend's game against the Bears, but is optimistic he can return to the gridiron in Week 13.
LaRoi Glover, DT Thursday 11/20, 8:16 AM CT
LaRoi Glover was limited in Wednesday's practice while dealing with torn cartilage in his knee, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: He may be able to play this weekend against Chicago, but is no longer a solid defensive tackle and holds no value for IDP leagues.
John Greco, OT Thursday 11/20, 8:13 AM CT
Third-round pick John Greco is expected to be active for Week 12 against the Bears, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Coach Jim Haslett said, "I want to see him play. I think he's going to be a pretty good player."

Our View: Greco will need to provide depth for an injury-riddled offensive line.
Marc Bulger, QB Thursday 11/20, 8:09 AM CT
Coach Jim Haslett is standing behind Marc Bulger, despite a disappointing season, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Haslett said, "Marc Bulger is the fifth-fastest quarterback ever to get to 20,000 passing yards in the NFL. He's been the Pro Bowl MVP. My vision is, Marc's the quarterback here for the next so many years, and that's not going to change. That's not going to change. Next year, it's not going to change; Marc's going to be the quarterback. So, all the people out there that are screaming and yelling they don't want Marc, well, he's going to be here. That's just the way it is."

Our View: This is encouraging news for Bulger but he remains an unstable fantasy option, especially in Week 12 against a Bears' defense that will be out for blood following a blowout loss to the rival Packers.
Leonard Little, DE Wednesday 11/19, 7:53 PM CT
Leonard Little was limited in practice on Wednesday, according to the Bears' official site.

Our View: Little is a solid defensive end when he's healthy, but that hasn't been the case for nearly all of this season.
Anthony Davis, T Wednesday 11/19, 7:16 AM CT
The Rams have signed offensive lineman Anthony Davis, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Samkon Gado was released to make room on the roster.

Our View: The Rams needed depth with Orlando Pace out 2-4 weeks, and Davis was a solid addition as he started 32 games for the Buccaneers at left tackle over the 2005 and 2006 campaigns. He was released by the club in late October.
Samkon Gado, RB Wednesday 11/19, 7:12 AM CT
Samkon Gado has been released by the Rams, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The Rams signed offensive lineman Anthony Davis as the adjoining move.

Our View: Antonio Pittman is healthy again and has been performing well, which made Gado expendable to improve depth on the offensive line.
Richie Incognito, G Wednesday 11/19, 7:08 AM CT
Richie Incognito's MRI revealed no damage in his ailing shoulder, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: He has good strength in the shoulder, and will be able to start at right guard in Week 12 against Chicago, which is good news regarding the Rams' offensive line.
Orlando Pace, T Tuesday 11/18, 2:29 PM CT
Orlando Pace is going to miss 2-4 weeks with a MCL strain, and the Rams may opt to place him on IR, according to the Rams' official website.

Our View: He is under contract through 2011, and the team may shut him down to prevent further injury, especially since they are not a playoff contender.
Tye Hill, CB Tuesday 11/18, 7:16 AM CT
Tye Hill, who is recovering from a knee injury, is expected to return to practice this week, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: This is encouraging news for Hill, but he will hold no value for IDP leagues when he returns to action.
Ron Bartell, CB Tuesday 11/18, 7:13 AM CT
Ron Bartell suffered a soft-tissue injury and is considered day-to-day, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: The Rams' secondary is thin and they would be pleased to get Bartell back, but he is not a solid pro, and holds little fantasy value for IDP leagues.
Adam Goldberg, G Tuesday 11/18, 7:09 AM CT
Adam Goldberg will start at left tackle Week 12 in place of the injured Orlando Pace (knee), according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Goldberg is not a solid pro and looks to be a liability against an aggressive Bears' defense, which does not bode well for quarterback Marc Bulger.
LaRoi Glover, DT Monday 11/17, 4:50 PM CT
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that defensive tackle LaRoi Glover has torn cartilage in his knee, originally suffered a couple of weeks ago, but should be able to play.

Our View: Glover, and most of the Rams defense, has not played very well this season and has just 24 tackles (17 solo) on the season. He has no sacks or forced fumbles.
Marc Bulger, QB Monday 11/17, 4:49 PM CT
Rams' coaches discussed benching Marc Bulger for Week 12, but have decided that he will remain the starter, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Bulger threw two interceptions on Sunday in San Francisco and he has more turnovers than touchdowns this season. He figures to miss recently injured offensive line starters Orlando Pace and Richie Incognito this week. Their absence should further bring Bulger's production down.
Richie Incognito, G Monday 11/17, 4:13 PM CT
The Belleville News Democrat reports that Rams' right guard Richie Incognito is getting an MRI on his injured knee on Monday. If Incognito can’t play, rookie John Greco will start in his place.

Our View: This news comes on the same day as the Rams announced that Orlando Pace will miss at least two weeks. Marc Bulger's struggles will likely continue behind a patchwork line.
Orlando Pace, T Monday 11/17, 4:09 PM CT
Left tackle Orlando Pace will miss 2-4 weeks due to a Grade 2 MCL strain in his knee that he suffered in Week 11, according to the Belleville News Democrat. Adam Goldberg will replace Pace at left tackle.

Our View: The Rams have been struggling along the offensive line all season and this is some of the worst news yet. Quarterback Marc Bulger will likely continue to see a lot of pressure for the remainder of the season. Pace has not been able to go a long stretch of games without injury for a few years and the Rams could possibly elect to keep him out the remainder of a worthless season.
Steven Jackson, RB Monday 11/17, 4:05 PM CT
The Belleville News Democrat reports that Steven Jackson (thigh) has been ruled out for Week 12. Coach Jim Haslett said the Rams’ medical staff recommend that Jackson, who has already missesd three of the Rams' last four games, sit out this week. “They feel he should be out this week, and rest him, and see what happens next week," Haslett said.

Our View: Jackson has just seven carries since Week 7 and has been one of the bigger disappointments in all of fantasy football. No word if he will return for Week 13.
Ron Bartell, CB Sunday 11/16, 9:45 PM CT
Ron Bartell tore a meniscus in his knee during Sunday's loss to the 49ers, according to the AP.

Our View: It's not clear at this point if this will end Bartell's season. He is the team's best corner, so their defense will get even worse in the coming weeks.
Orlando Pace, T Sunday 11/16, 9:39 PM CT
Orlando Pace could be sidelined for a significant amount of time after injuring a ligament in his right knee Sunday, according to the AP.

Our View: This obviously weakens an already poor Rams offense. We'll let you know how serious Pace's injury is when more is known.
Richie Incognito, G Sunday 11/16, 7:55 PM CT
Richie Incognito left Sunday's game in the third quarter with a shoulder injury, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The severity of the ailment isn't known at this point.

Our View: Orlando Pace also left the game with an injury. The Rams offensive line was already bad, but it could get even worse if either or both of these two are sidelined for a while.
Donnie Avery, WR Sunday 11/16, 6:49 PM CT
Donnie Avery led the Rams receiver with nine receptions for 93 yards in the loss to San Francisco Sunday.

Our View: It's clear at this point that Avery is now the top target in St. Louis, though on a bad Rams offense, that doesn't equate to a ton of fantasy value.
Antonio Pittman, RB Sunday 11/16, 6:47 PM CT
Antonio Pittman had a nice performance Sunday filling in for Steven Jackson, as he rushed 14 times for 95 yards while adding three catches for four yards.

Our View: Coach Jim Haslett said he wanted a 100-yard game from Pittman, and he almost got it. With Jackson's quad ailment proving to be worse than expected, Pittman could have some value in the coming weeks.
Marc Bulger, QB Sunday 11/16, 6:44 PM CT
Marc Bulger completed 34-of-53 passes for 295 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions in the Rams' loss to the 49ers Sunday.

Our View: Bulger salvaged his day with a late TD pass to Dane Looker, but overall it was another poor game for the field general. At this point, we would not be surprised if the Rams brought in another quarterback over the offseason to lead the team.
Orlando Pace, T Sunday 11/16, 4:50 PM CT
Left tackle Orlando Pace exited the game against San Francisco in the first half with a sprained right knee.

Our View: Pace, who was replaced in the lineup by Adam Goldberg, is questionable to return.
Ron Bartell, CB Sunday 11/16, 4:21 PM CT
Cornerback Ron Bartell injured his knee during the first half of the Week 11 game against the 49ers.

Our View: The game is already a blowout in favor of the 49ers, and the Rams probably won't push Bartell to return.
Brock Berlin, QB Sunday 11/16, 2:01 PM CT
Week 11 inactives: QB Brock Berlin (3rd), CB Tye Hill, RB Sam Gado, RB Steven Jackson, LB Chris Draft, G Roy Schuening, OT John Greco, DE Eric Moore

Our View: Antonio Pittman is active and will start in place of Jackson. Travis Minor should be the primary backup.
Tye Hill, CB Saturday 11/15, 8:09 AM CT
Tye Hill commented on his knee injury that will keep him off the field indefinitely, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Hill said, "We thought it was four to six weeks; really, it was a six- to eight-week injury. I've got a lot of fluid in my knee. That's what's stopping me; that's where the pain's coming from. We've just got to get the swelling out and go from there."

Our View: Hill won't be missed as he is merely adequate as a pro, and held no value for IDP leagues.
Chris Draft, LB Saturday 11/15, 8:05 AM CT
Chris Draft will miss another game due to his foot injury, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Quinton Culberson will likely make another start at strongside linebacker, which will benefit the 49ers' passing attack as the young linebacker is a liability in coverage.
Antonio Pittman, RB Saturday 11/15, 8:02 AM CT
Antonio Pittman is only averaging 3.0 yards per carry and the Rams expect more from him as he replaces Steven Jackson (strained thigh) in the starting lineup this weekend against the 49ers, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Coach Jim Haslett said, "I've already told him that he needs to run his butt of this week and prove that he deserves this opportunity. He can't rush 13 attempts for 28 yards. He needs to break through and get a hundred-yard game and show that he's a back that can play in the league for a long time."

Our View: Pittman is worth fantasy consideration, namely as a flex option, against the 49ers' 16th ranked run defense that has surrendered 10 scores on the ground.
Antonio Pittman, RB Friday 11/14, 1:03 PM CT
Antonio Pittman will start at running back for the Rams this weekend as Steven Jackson will not make the trip to San Francisco due to his strained thigh, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Pittman is worth consideration against the 49ers' 16th ranked run defense that has surrendered 10 scores on the ground.
Steven Jackson, RB Friday 11/14, 12:58 PM CT
Steven Jackson won't make the trip to San Francisco to battle the 49ers, and instead will visit a specialist to determine why his strained right thigh is not responding well to treatment, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Antonio Pittman will get the start at running back in a favorable match-up, and will be backed up by Ken Darby and Travis Minor. Pittman is worth a look this week in deeper leagues.
Steven Jackson, RB Friday 11/14, 7:50 AM CT
Unless Steven Jackson fully practices today without any issues, he will likely miss Week 11 at San Francisco, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He did some work Wednesday, but was unable to practice Thursday due to his strained right thigh. Coach Jim Haslett said, "He's not putting it on the ground and exploding off it. That's the big thing, and until he does it, he's not going to be really effective."

Our View: Antonio Pittman would be the top candidate to replace Jackson at running back in a favorable match-up against the 49ers. Jackson would be missing his third straight game due to the ailment.
Steven Jackson, RB Thursday 11/13, 5:05 PM CT
Updating an earlier report, Steven Jackson has continued stiffness and swelling in his quadriceps muscle and as a result he missed another practice on Thursday, according to the Belleville News-Democrat. “Today waking up this morning it kind of took a step backwards," Jackson said. “We’ll see what a day off will do."

Our View: SJax doesn't appear to have much of a shot at playing this weekend, and even if he does it is clear that he will be far from 100%. Antonio Pittman will be thrust into the starters role and appears likely to be the back to own this week in St. Louis.
Steven Jackson, RB Thursday 11/13, 3:47 PM CT
Rams running back Steven Jackson is probably not going to play on Sunday, but he has not been completely ruled out, according to the AP. "I doubt if we'll have him, to be honest with you. But we'll see. You never know," said Rams coach Jim Haslett.

Our View: Jackson has not started for three consecutive games, and should he miss this one, Antonio Pittman would once again start and be the primary running back against the 49ers.
Steven Jackson, RB Thursday 11/13, 11:50 AM CT
Rams running back Steven Jackson was not practicing on Thursday, instead standing on the sidelines and watching, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: This is an ominous sign regarding his availability to play against the 49ers on Sunday. He took about half the team's snaps in practice Wednesday before having this setback.
Tye Hill, CB Thursday 11/13, 9:16 AM CT
Rams cornerback Tye Hill will not play Sunday, but he could practice by sometime next week, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Hill has had an injured knee, and has been slow to recover. Even if he does suit up for Week 12, the number of snaps he would receive will likely be minimal.
Steven Jackson, RB Thursday 11/13, 9:15 AM CT
Rams running back Steven Jackson took nearly half the snaps in the team's practice on Wednesday, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Jackson has been dealing with a thigh strain, and if he makes it through a full practice, will suit up against the 49ers, who have a decent run defense, despite the fact they've given up 10 rushing touchdowns.
Trent Green, QB Wednesday 11/12, 7:03 PM CT
Quarterback Trent Green was able to fully participate in practice despite an elbow injury sustained in the second half last Sunday against the New York Jets, according to the St. Louis Post Dispatch.

Our View: Green replaced Marc Bulger in the second half against the Jets but he will go back to the bench this weekend against the 49ers. At least at the start of the game.
Eric Moore, DE Wednesday 11/12, 6:53 PM CT
Eric Moore will miss the Rams Week 11 game against the 49ers because of a knee injury, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Moore has recorded 10 tackles and one sack in 2008 and doesn't hold any fantasy value.
Ron Bartell, CB Wednesday 11/12, 6:34 PM CT
Rams cornerback Ron Bartell did not practice on Wednesday because of flu like symptoms, according to the St. Louis Post Dispatch.

Our View: Head coach Jim Haslett said that Bartell was just a little tired and she be fine for this weekends game against the 49ers.
Travis Minor, RB Wednesday 11/12, 12:36 PM CT
Travis Minor, who has been recovering from a concussion, is fully practicing with the Rams today, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Antonio Pittman is also practicing, and Pittman and Minor could handle most of the workload at running back this weekend in a favorable match-up at San Francisco if Steven Jackson is not deemed ready to return from his thigh ailment.
Steven Jackson, RB Wednesday 11/12, 12:33 PM CT
Steven Jackson is on the practice field today, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: It remains to be seen how much work he will be able to handle today while recovering from his thigh ailment. As previously noted, he would need to fully practice before coach Jim Haslett considers penciling him back into the lineup.
Darius Walker, RB Wednesday 11/12, 7:28 AM CT
Darius Walker was released from the Rams' practice squad to make room for safety David Roach, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Walker performed well at the end of the season for the Texans in 2007 (made two starts), but was yet to see any action in 2008.
Tye Hill, CB Wednesday 11/12, 7:15 AM CT
Tye Hill will miss another game this weekend after visiting a specialist Monday to further examine his injured knee, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He still has fluid on the knee, as well as a partial bone bruise.

Our View: Hill won't be missed by fantasy owners in IDP leagues or the Rams' secondary, as he was basically a liability in coverage. St. Louis plays at San Francisco in Week 11.
Eric Moore, DE Tuesday 11/11, 7:49 AM CT
Eric Moore, who is dealing with a neck injury, is questionable for Week 11 at San Francisco, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Moore provides solid depth to the Rams' rotation at defensive end, but holds no value for IDP leagues.
Derek Stanley, WR Tuesday 11/11, 7:46 AM CT
Derek Stanley suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 10 against the Jets, but coach Jim Haslett considers him day-to-day, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: The second-year pro is developing into a solid return man, and has contributed two receptions for 92 yards and a score over his last two games as a receiver.
Trent Green, QB Monday 11/10, 4:12 PM CT
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Trent Green suffered a minor injury to his right elbow while making a tackle after an interception, but should be available to back up Marc Bulger on Sunday in San Francisco.

Our View: Green saw some action against the Jets but failed to impress his coaches enough for them to make him the starter. He currently does not have any value in fantasy leagues.
Chris Draft, LB Monday 11/10, 4:10 PM CT
Linebacker Chris Draft (foot) will likely miss miss two more weeks, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: The Rams defense is not very good with him, but figures to be even worse without him.
Marc Bulger, QB Monday 11/10, 4:08 PM CT
Marc Bulger will continue to start for the Rams, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He was benched in Week 10 in favor of backup Trent Green.

Our View: Trent Green suffered a minor injury to his right elbow while making a tackle after an interception, but should be available to back up Bulger on Sunday in San Francisco. Bulger has just six touchdowns to six interceptions this year and his quarterback rating is 73.5.
Steven Jackson, RB Monday 11/10, 4:05 PM CT
Steven Jackson (thigh) is listed as day to day, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Jackson's status for next Sunday against the Niners is unknown. He did not practice at all last week, but if he gets a full day in before Saturday, he figures to be able to go.
Marc Bulger, QB Monday 11/10, 12:09 PM CT
Marc Bulger was pulled in favor of Trent Green in Sunday's blowout loss to the Jets, and Bulger's status for Week 11 is yet to be decided by coach Jim Haslett, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: The starting quarterback would have a favorable match-up in Week 11 against the 49ers.
Kenneth Darby, RB Monday 11/10, 7:32 AM CT
Kenneth Darby, who was attempting to fill the shoes of the injured Steven Jackson (thigh), was benched after his second lost fumble in the first half of Sunday's loss to the Jets, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He said, "I was just a little too eager to make something happen. Hey, I can only blame myself. Technique-wise, I was horrible with it carrying the ball."

Our View: This is unfortunate for fantasy owners who picked him up during the week off the waiver wire, as he broke loose for 32 yards on four carries against a strong Jets' run defense prior to getting benched.
Marc Bulger, QB Sunday 11/9, 2:00 PM CT
Head coach Jim Haslett made the switch from Marc Bulger to Trent Green at the start of the second half in the game against the New York Jets.

Our View: Down 40-0 at halftime, Haslett benched Bulger, who had completed 6-of-13 passes for 65 yards and two turnovers (1 interception 1 fumble).
Steven Jackson, RB Sunday 11/9, 11:05 AM CT
Rams inactives: QB Brock Berlin (3rd), RB Travis Minor, RB Steven Jackson, LB Chris Draft, G Roy Schuening, T John Greco, DE Eric Moore, CB Tye Hill.

Our View: Steven Jackson (thigh) is inactive, leaving Antonio Pittman (hamstring) and Kenneth Darby to handle the ground game workload. If Pittman is limited, Samkon Gado could even claim a few carries.
Antonio Pittman, RB Sunday 11/9, 9:15 AM CT
Antonio Pittman has recovered sufficiently from his hamstring injury to earn the start today against the New York Jets, according to St. Louis Post Dispatch.

Our View: Pittman has a sketchy match-up against the Jets' run defense, which ranks 4th in the league (76.1 yards per game), allowing only 3.1 yards per carry. Kenneth Darby will be the backup, while Samkon Gado could also see a handful of carries.
Brian Leonard, RB Saturday 11/8, 7:59 AM CT
Rams fullback Brian Leonard's shoulder injury, which put him on IR, was not quite as serious as was once thought, and he should be ready for full participation in the team's offseason workouts, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Leonard is a former second-round pick who can play both fullback and running back, but excels at neither. He has no fantasy relevance.
Eric Moore, DE Saturday 11/8, 7:51 AM CT
Rams defensive end Eric Moore will not play in the team's Week 10 contest against the Jets, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Moore has some pass-rushing skills, but is a back-up at defensive end and has no fantasy value.
Kenneth Darby, RB Friday 11/7, 6:38 PM CT
Kenneth Darby will start for the Rams on Sunday with Steven Jackson out, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Darby probably won't be a great source of fantasy points this weekend. Even though he may see most of the Rams' carries on Sunday, their running game has been pretty inept all season.
Steven Jackson, RB Friday 11/7, 2:27 PM CT
Steven Jackson has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jets after missing Friday's practice due to his thigh ailment, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Antonio Pittman is expected to be active, but coach Jim Haslett noted that Kenneth Darby will likely get the start. Samkon Gado is also expected to see some action, but none should be considered for fantasy lineups against a dominant Jets' run defense.
Steven Jackson, RB Friday 11/7, 12:18 PM CT
Steven Jackson, who is dealing with a thigh ailment, was absent from Friday's practice, and is likely to miss Sunday's game against the Jets, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Antonio Pittman was able to practice with his hamstring ailment, so he could be in the mix at running back with Kenneth Darby and Samkon Gado, assuming Jackson doesn't play.
Adam Carriker, DT Friday 11/7, 7:48 AM CT
Adam Carriker was limited in practice for the second straight day Thursday, but indicated that his sprained left ankle is "coming along," and he expects to handle an increased workload Sunday against the Jets, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: He only participated in 28 of the Rams' 75 defensive snaps in Week 9 against Arizona, and is close to being ready for a full workload again. He is a solid defensive tackle and his presence will help slow down Thomas Jones and the Jets' ground attack.
Antonio Pittman, RB Thursday 11/6, 5:03 PM CT
Antonio Pittman did some running on the side of Rams practice on Thursday, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: The Rams running back situation is about as unpredictable as Al Davis' mood swings. Don't expect to get many points out of the St. Louis backfield in Week 10. With many backs going down this week, options such as BenJarvus Green-Ellis or Ryan Torain could do you some good if they're still available.
Steven Jackson, RB Thursday 11/6, 2:54 PM CT
After being unable to practice Thursday, Steven Jackson stated it would take "something miraculous" for him to practice Friday and play in Week 10, according to the Belleville News-Democrat. He said, "A full practice Friday, probably not going to happen to be honest with you. I’m surely hoping that I come in tomorrow and something miraculous happens tonight, and I feel like I can give a full practice like coach Haslett is wanting."

Our View: After attempting to play last Sunday, Jackson underwent an MRI on Monday that revealed some inflammation in his quad muscle. If unable to go, Ken Darby and Samkon Gado would split the workload on the ground against the Jets' 4th ranked run defense.
Steven Jackson, RB Thursday 11/6, 12:42 PM CT
Steven Jackson is absent from Thursday's practice, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Kenneth Darby and Samkon Gado are getting the reps with the first team offense. Jackson needs to fully practice Friday to have a chance to play in Week 10 against the Jets.
Adam Carriker, DT Thursday 11/6, 7:43 AM CT
Adam Carriker was limited in Wednesday's practice due to his ankle ailment, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: He holds no value in IDP leagues, but is a solid defensive tackle for the Rams, and Thomas Jones and the Jets' ground attack would benefit from his absence if unable to go Sunday.
Oshiomogho Atogwe, S Thursday 11/6, 7:40 AM CT
Oshiomogho Atogwe was limited in Wednesday's practice due to a thigh ailment, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: He is the only solid starter in the Rams' secondary, and would be a tough loss if unable to go against Brett Favre and the Jets' aerial attack. We will keep you posted on his status.
Tye Hill, CB Thursday 11/6, 7:35 AM CT
Tye Hill will miss Sunday's game due to his ailing knee, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. he intends to see Dr. James Andrews next week in Birmingham, Alabama.

Our View: Hill won't be missed by fantasy owners in IDP leagues or the Rams' secondary, as he was basically a liability in coverage.
Matt Caddell , WR Wednesday 11/5, 8:22 PM CT
The St. Louis Rams have signed Matt Caddell to their practice squad, according to NFL.com.

Our View: Caddell helps with depth on the Rams roster.
Steven Jackson, RB Wednesday 11/5, 12:49 PM CT
Steven Jackson did not practice Wednesday due to his strained thigh, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Coach Jim Haslett previously stated that he wants to see Jackson go through a full practice some day this week before he’ll play him Sunday against the Jets. Antonio Pittman (hamstring) and Travis Minor (concussion) also missed practice, so Kenneth Darby took reps as the starting running back, with Samkon Gado working as the backup.
Eric Moore, DE Wednesday 11/5, 7:48 AM CT
Tests have determined that Eric Moore's neck injury is not serious, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Moore holds no value for IDP leagues, but has been a favorable contributor to the Rams' rotation at defensive end, with 10 tackles (eight solo) and a sack.
David Vobora, LB Wednesday 11/5, 7:43 AM CT
As expected, David Vobora was promoted to the Rams' active roster to provide depth with Chris Draft out with a foot injury, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Kelly Poppinga takes his spot on the practice squad.

Our View: Vobora will back up Quinton Culberson at strongside linebacker, and holds no fantasy value for IDP leagues.
Travis Minor, RB Wednesday 11/5, 7:39 AM CT
Travis Minor, who is dealing with a concussion sustained in Week 9, failed his neuro-psyche test Tuesday, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: He will be tested again on Friday. Players are usually held out for at least a week after suffering a concussion, so he may not play against the Jets even if he fares better Friday.
Antonio Pittman, RB Wednesday 11/5, 7:35 AM CT
Antonio Pittman is expected to miss Week 10 with his hamstring injury, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Travis Minor (concussion) did not pass his neuro-psyche test Tuesday and will be evaluated again Friday. If Steven Jackson's right thigh isn't healthy enough for him to play, it will be Kenneth Darby and Samkon Gado carrying the load at running back Sunday against a tough Jets' run defense.
Russ Weil, RB Tuesday 11/4, 4:31 PM CT
Fullback Russ Weil was released by the St. Louis Rams on Tuesday, according to NFL.com.

Our View: The Rams are having injury problems in the backfield and Weil was released so the Rams could bring in Darius Walker.
Darius Walker, RB Tuesday 11/4, 4:26 PM CT
Running back Darius Walker was signed to the St. Louis Rams practice squad, according to NFL.com.

Our View: Walker was released by the Texans in late October and will add depth to the Rams roster.
Travis Minor, RB Tuesday 11/4, 7:27 AM CT
Travis Minor is slated for a neuro-psyche test today to determine whether he is still feeling the effects of a concussion sustained in Week 9 against Arizona, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: Normally, players that suffer concussions are held out at least one week. The status of Steven Jackson (thigh) is uncertain and Antonio Pittman is dealing with a hamstring injury, so Ken Darby could be the only healthy running back on the Rams' roster when they battle the Jets in Week 10.
Richie Incognito, G Tuesday 11/4, 7:22 AM CT
Richie Incognito is dealing with a bruised knee but should be able to play in Week 10 at the Jets, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View: This is encouraging news, as Incognito is a solid starting guard for the Rams' offensive line.
