Rookie wideout Malcolm Kelly said the pain in his left knee has subsided, and he wants to practice this week with hopes of playing on Sunday, according to the Washington Post.

Our View:And why wouldn't he want to play? Kelly and the Redskins face the putrid Rams defense this week, which gives up an average of 245.8 passing yards per game.

Jason Taylor, DE

Jason Taylor is trying to return from surgery to relieve compartment syndrome in his calf, and intends to increase his practice workload this week, according to the Washington Post. Coach Jim Zorn said, "He will try to rev it up, I know that."

Our View:This is encouraging news, but Zorn still cannot speculate when Taylor will be back. Hopefully fantasy owners have done as well as Washington without the stud defensive end, as they are currently 4-1.

Cornelius Griffin, DT

Cornelius Griffin is set to undergo an MRI for his injured left shoulder, according to the Washington Post.

Our View:Coach Jim Zorn noted that Griffin has a sprain and the team will try to get him ready for Sunday against the Rams. Griffin holds very little fantasy value, but he is a solid defensive tackle, and his absence would benefit Steven Jackson and the Rams' ground attack.
