Roberto Luongo stopped 34 of 35 shots on Monday against the Islanders, but he ended up taking a loss in a shootout.

Our View:Luongo was his normal spectacular self but the Canucks couldn't get their shots to go in on the opposite end of the ice. Luongo remains an excellent No. 1 goaltender option.

Roberto Luongo lost his bid for his fourth shutout in five games in the third period, but still stopped 28-of-30 Toronto shots to earn his 10th win in 16 starts.

Our View:Luongo has been dominant for the Canucks this year. That trade with the Panthers keeps looking better and better.

The AP reports that Paul Stastny's power-play goal 1:28 into the third period tied it and ended Roberto Luongo's bid for a fourth straight shutout. He finished the night owning the franchise-record shutout streak of 242 minutes, 36 seconds. The Avalanche would eventually win the game in a shootout following the goalie's 33 saves on 34 shots.

Our View:Luongo's streak was very impressive and despite the shootout loss, it was still a very good game for his fantasy owners.
