August 17, 2004 The Lightning have made getting Martin St. Louis signed to a multi-year deal their top priority, according to the Tampa Tribune. "Marty has made it clear that he would like a long-term deal and we would like to do that," Lightning GM Jay Feaster said. "But we have to be mindful of doing that while still in the unknown of what is going to happen [with a new collective bargaining agreement]. It's not as simple as just putting together the terms and price." |
