Tom Poti fully practiced Thursday for the first time since sustaining a groin injury October 16, according to the Washington Times. Poti said, "It went OK, not great. It felt like I haven't skated in two weeks pretty much. Everything was off just a little bit, but the groin held up decent and I guess trainer Greg Smith said the big test is to see how it will feel tomorrow after I touch base with him and test it. I guess we'll see tomorrow and go from there. If it was up to me, I would be playing, but we'll see."

Our View:This is encouraging news, as Poti is a very good defenseman and plays with the second unit on the power play, as well as the first unit for penalty kills.

Tom Poti hopes to resume practicing next week, according to the Washington Post. He is dealing with a groin injury.

Our View:Thankfully for the Caps, they just got Viktor Kozlov and John Erskine back in the lineup, so they're not too thin on the blueline.

Tom Poti will be available for Game 7 against the Flyers, the Washington Post confirms. The defenseman took a shot to the head in Game 6 and had a headache.

Our View:We really didn't expect Poti to miss a game like this, but this news confirms he didn't suffer a more serious concussion.
