October 10, 2008 As expected, the Philadelphia Flyers sent goalie Jean-Sebastien Aubin to the AHL, according to the Our View:Antero Niittymaki will spend the season as Martin Biron's backup, so there was no room for Aubin. Niittymaki did have hip surgery not long ago, but his recovery went well, and he was able to play a full game Oct. 8. |

September 28, 2008 Jean-Sebastien Aubin played the first 32:04 in Sunday's 1-0 loss to Carolina. He stopped 18 of 19 shots before Scott Munroe replaced him in the Philadelphia net. Our View:Regular Flyers backup goalie Antero Niittymaki will miss over a month after having hip surgery, so Aubin will get a chance to be the No. 2 behind Martin Biron for that time. |
