January 1, 2009 The Canadiens received terrible news on New Years Day as they learned that Alex Tanguay would likely miss the next six weeks with a shoulder injury, according to Our View:The team is being a bit coy with the specifics, it could be a separation of a dislocation, but regardless Tanguay figures to be out for six weeks. The Habs lose their third leading scorer (10g, 16a), and fantasy teams lose one of their too options from the left wing. |

December 31, 2008 Canadiens coach Guy Carbonneau said Alex Tanguay's status for Friday's game in New Jersey has yet to be determined, according to the Our View:With defenseman Ryan O'Byrne the only spare body on the roster, Montreal will be forced to recall a forward from its AHL affiliate in Hamilton if Tanguay can't play against the Devils. |

December 30, 2008 Alex Tanguay left Tuesday's game after being checked into the boards, according to the Our View:Tanguay has 26 points in 33 games this year so he's been a decent fantasy player this year. We'll let you know how serious his injury is when more information is available. |
