Updating a previous report, Anton Volchenkov will likely be in the lineup on Friday for Game 2 despite taking a puck to the head in Game 1 which required 15 stitches, this according to the Ottawa Sun. "Like a lot of us, he's got a huge head," said Senators GM/coach Bryan Murray. "If it was a normal human being, there wouldn't be a chance they'd play, but with him, there's definitely a chance." If the team ends up resting Volchenkov look for them to dress Luke Richardson on the blueline, but as of now, we expect Anton to play.

Anton Volchenkov picked up a head laceration in Game 1 against the Penguins and needed to be helped off the ice after taking an Evgeni Malkin shot off his head, this according to the Ottawa Sun. No word yet on whether or not he will play in Game 2, but given his toughness it might be a mild surprise if he doesn't suit up though he didn't skate at practice on Thursday.

Senators defenseman Anton Volchenkov could miss up to a month with a broken right index finger. Volchenkov broke the finger on Thursday during the game against the Nashville Predators.
