Barry Tallackson's heart surgery was successful, according to the Bergen Record. GM Lou Lamoriello said, "The procedure was a complete success. There were no issues. I don't have any timetable concerning the recovery stage. We'll know more in a day or so. But everything was a success. Everything went well."

Our View:The procedure was done to correct an irregular heartbeat, and was not considered life-threatening.

Our View:The 25-year-old will undergo the procedure Friday, and is expected to be fine in a couple of weeks. The ailment is not life-threatening and the operation is considered minor.
