October 17, 2008 Curtis Sanford gave Roberto Luongo the night off, but if he continues to play like this don't look for Luongo to come out of the lineup very often as Sanford permitted five goals on 31 shots against the Sabres. Our View:Canucks backup goalies figure to see no more than 15 games behind the Canucks workhorse this season, but the club still expects more out of the likes of Sanford than the effort they received tonight. |

September 28, 2008 Curtis Sanford saved 34 of 38 shots against a relentless Anaheim attack on Sunday night. He came up with four saves in the shootout as Vancouver won 5-4. Our View:Sanford will back up Roberto Luongo this season in Vancouver. He should see 20-plus starts but will not be a fantasy factor unless his role changes. |
