December 3, 2008 Thrashers forward Jed Ortmeyer cleared waivers and was assigned to the team's AHL affiliate in Milwaukee, according to Our View:Ortmeyer had a blood clot in his league. He sustained a knee injury last February and had not played since that time. He has no fantasy value. |

November 3, 2008 Jed Ortmeyer has been cleared to stop taking his blood-thinning medication, according to the Our View:If all goes favorably without a setback over the next couple of weeks, Ortmeyer will resume practicing with the Predators on November 17. This is good news, but he holds no fantasy value. |
