August 4, 2008 Former defenseman Brad McCrimmon has signed a three-year deal with the Red Wings to serve as an assistant coach, according to the Our View:McCrimmon spent four seasons as an assistant coach in Atlanta and previously was on coaching staffs with Calgary and the New York Islanders. He played 18 seasons in the NHL, including three seasons in Detroit in the early 1990's. |
