October 25, 2006 The Coyotes waived Michael Morrison on Wednesday after he posted a 6.14 GAA and 0-3-0 record in four appearances this season, according to the AP. That means Curtis Joseph is the only goalie left on their roster, though the Coyotes likely will recall David LeNeveu tomorrow. |

"Any time you get a start in this league, I think it's exciting, and we're coming off a very much-needed win. It's also a home game, and I haven't been able to play in a regular-season home game." |

October 18, 2006 Michael Morrison had been expected to start Tuesday's game in place of No. 1 goalie Curtis Joseph, but he spent nearly several hours at a hospital the night before because a piece of steak he had eaten for dinner lodged in his esophagus, according to the Arizona Republic. "They basically knocked me out (with anesthesia) and cleared it with a cable," Morrison said. "It was a long night. It wasn't something that was painful; it was just more of an inconvenience." He's now pegged to be between the pipes on Thursday. |
