Henrik Lundqvist was held out of Sunday's game due to the flu, so Steve Valiquette started between the pipes for the Rangers. He's been battling it for a couple of days, so hopefully he'll be back in action soon.

After starting 19 straight games, Henrik Lundqvist was given the day off on Saturday by the Rangers. Stephen Valiquette got the start instead and posted a 3-2 win over St. Louis. Lundqvist should be back in goal on Monday against the rival Islanders.

Henrik Lundqvist was able to play Sunday despite leaving Saturday's game early with a severely bruised left shoulder, the result of being hit by a slap shot, according to the New York Daily News. He made 21 saves and picked up a 2-1 win over the Blackhawks.

Henrik Lundqvist left Saturday's game after the second period after taking a shot off his left shoulder, according to the AP. Head coach Tom Renney said Lundqvist was held out to allow him to rest before Sunday afternoon's game against Chicago.
