July 16, 2008 The Islanders signed Jeff Tambellini to a two-year, $1.175 deal Wednesday, according to TSN.ca. The contract is one way. "We're extremely happy that we have Jeff as a member of the Islanders organization for the next two years," Islanders GM Garth Snow said. "We know that Jeff will come to training camp in shape and ready to compete in September and we look forward to it." Our View:Tambellini doesn't deserve much attention in fantasy circles. |

March 30, 2008 The NHL wire reports that the New York Islanders have sent winger Jeff Tambellini back to their AHL affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, for the remainder of the season. Tambellini struggled to find the net during his tenure with the big club, this after leading the AHL in scoring with 29 goals in 46 games. His presence will give the Tigers a chance to win the AHL Championship. |

February 4, 2008 The Islanders recalled left wing Jeff Tambellini on Monday from Bridgeport of the AHL, where he had 56 points (28 goals, 28 assists) in 43 games. Tambellini is a skilled young player and is worth keeping close tabs on in fantasy circles, even though he is pointless in eight games with the Isles this season. He saw limited ice time in those games. |
