Our View:He averaged only 16 1/2 minutes of ice time last season with the Sharks and has one assist and four penalty minutes on the year. The increase playing time should boost his fantasy value but he has yet to prove himself roster worthy through five games this season. |

September 24, 2008 Montreal defenseman Matt Carle was carried off the ice on a stretcher after being hit by Detroit’s Tomas Kopecky during an exhibition game Wednesday night according to the Our View:Carle was acquired in the offseason from San Jose and figures to be in the back line rotation for Tampa Bay this season. It sounds like a concussion which would leave him out indefintely. He is not worth fantasy consideration. |
