September 11, 2008 Zack Stortini gained about 10 pounds this off-season, he now weighs 230 pounds, as he prepares to challenge for the mantle of 'best fighter in the NHL,' according to the Our View:Stortini racked up 201 PIM in just 66 games last season and would appears to have a legit shot at posting at least 250 PIM this season. In leagues that count PIM, he is at the top of the list of tough guys. |

July 15, 2008 Zack Stortini has re-signed with the Oilers, according to the Our View:He only registered three goals and nine assists over 66 games last season, but the Oilers like the intimidating presence he brings to the ice as he also racked up 201 penalty minutes. He is viewed as an important member of their club, but won't be worthy of a fantasy roster in leagues that don't award points for penalty minutes. |

January 19, 2007 The Oilers recalled Zack Stortini from Hamilton of the AHL on Friday to take defenseman Steve Staios' roster spot, according to the AP. Stortini has nine goals and six assists with a league-leading 172 penalty minutes in 42 games for Hamilton this season. |
