| The AP reports that Nashville Predators captain Jason Arnott left Monday’s game against the San Jose Sharks in the first period with an undisclosed injury. The center skated toward goaltender Brian Boucher and lost his footing, sliding head-first into the net where he appeared to hit his head. Arnott was then carried off on a stretcher following a short delay with two seconds remaining in the session. |
Our View: The 32-year-old has eight goals and seven assists in 15 games this season. His return seems unlikely at this point, and we can only hope he will not miss an extended period of time. |

Our View: Rinne has been pretty terrible this season and clearly doesn't appear ready for prime time work in the NHL. Unfortunately Dan Ellis hasn't been much better, but as soon as Ellis is healthy look for Rinne to spend an awful lot of time on the bench. |
