Tom Glavine's surgery on Thursday to repair a partially torn flexor tendon in his left elbow and to clean out his shoulder was a success, according to MLB.com.

Our View: "We were pleased by the report that there was not a significant injury to the elbow or shoulder that would prevent Tom from pitching in the future," Braves general manager Frank Wren said. This is great news for Glavine as his career shouldn't be over.

Our View: Zambrano improves to 13-5, and bounced back nicely as he allowed 14 earned runs over his previous two starts (10.1 innings).

Pedro Feliz has been activated from the DL following his bout with lower-back inflammation, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Les Walrond was demoted to Triple-A Lehigh as the adjoining move. Feliz said, "I'm hitting. I'm fielding. I'm throwing. I'm ready to go. It's been a little bit sore, but it's not painful where I can't play. I feel good to go."

Our View: Feliz could hold favorable fantasy value down the stretch in deeper NL-only leagues (assuming he can stay healthy), as he hit 12 homers and 46 RBI prior to landing on the DL.

Mark Pawelek has reportedly been sent home from Single-A Boise, according to the Daily Herald. Pawelek was the Cubs' No. 1 pick in 2005.

Our View: Club officials said Pawelek did not acquire a passport in time for a team trip to Canada. His stock has been down with some inside the organization for a while as well.

Our View: The good news is it does not sound like a serious injury. The X-Ray taken on his thumb did not reveal any broken bones, and he is listed as day-to-day.

Stephen Drew returned to the D-Backs' lineup Wednesday after sitting out Tuesday with a sore groin, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View: Drew has been hitting well since July, and should remain penciled into fantasy lineups.

Edgar Gonzalez, who is recovering from a strained right elbow, has begun a throwing program, according to the Arizona Republic. He will play catch at 75 to 90 feet, and could be throwing off a mound in a few weeks.

Our View: Gonzalez has a shot to return this season, but is not worth waiting for as a fantasy hurler. He holds a 6.00 ERA and 1.65 WHIP over 48 innings this season, with a 1-3 record.

Brandon Moss is dealing with a twisted left ankle, but returned to the Pirates' lineup Wednesday, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Our View: He was only bothered by the injury as he went 2-for-4 against the Cardinals, with a single and a double.

J.R. House has been sent down to Triple-A Round Rock, according to the Houston Chronicle. He was moved to make room for Jose Castillo on the roster.

Our View: House has good power but did not get a chance to display it with only three at-bats during his stint with the Astros.

Greg Smith is approaching a new career-high for innings pitched, but is feeling good, according to the SF Chronicle. Pitching coach Kurt Young said, "I think the stuff we do in between starts has allowed him to get to this point, and his arm is feeling good. He's comfortable for this time of year."

Our View: Smith may be feeling good, but he is still winless in his last six starts, with an average of 3.3 walks per outing.

Luis Castillo continues his rehab assignment to heal his left hip flexor, and in a game on Wednesday, he went 1-for-4 with an RBI and run scored, according to Mets.com.

Our View: Castillo has lost a lot of his speed, which had been his best asset for fantasy owners. He remains a decent option in NL-only leagues, but not mixed league formats.
