Hamlin sore after basketball incident

After his disappointing loss at Richmond, Denny Hamlin added injury to insult when he crashed the ground in a basketball game and injured his hip Sunday night.

Our View: One has to do something to discharge all the negative emotion, but doesn't Hamlin know white men can't jump?

Sadler fastest in Lowe's test 3

Elliott Sadler posted the fastest time in Monday evening's test at Lowe's. His top speed was 186.245 mph.

Our View: Notably fast in this session were: A.J. Allmendinger (second – 184.150), Brad Keselowski (sixth - 183.113) and Sam Hornish Jr. (ninth – 182.328)

Ky Busch fastest in Lowe's test 2

Tuesday 5/6, 8:30 AM CT

The times came down during the afternoon, but Kyle Busch paced the field with a speed of 179.736 mph during the afternoon testing session at Lowe's.

Our View: In this session, 50 cars hit the track and parity reigned. The top four spots belonged to different manufacturers: Busch in a Toyota, Carl Edwards in a Ford, Jeff Burton in a Chevy and Kurt Busch in a Dodge.

Earnhardt wins first Lowe's practice

Dale Earnhardt, Jr had the fastest time in the Monday morning practice session with a speed of 182.352 mph.

Our View: Of course there were only 10 cars and six drivers testing. Notably: Brad Keselowski was present with the No. 70 Gene Haas team.
