N'Wide: Logano disappointed with 6th Saturday 5/31, 7:08 PM CT
Joey Logano lived up the hype surrounding his debut and raced with the leaders for most of the afternoon. In the end, he finished a respectable sixth—and was disappointed he didn't finish better.

Our View: Logano will have an even better chance to win next week at Nashville Superspeedway in a standalone race.
N'Wide: Hamlin wins Heluva Good! 200Saturday 5/31, 7:05 PM CT
Denny Hamlin spent most of his day in the top three and at the end, he held off a charge by Carl Edwards to win the Heluva Good! 200.

Our View: Hamlin was only 10th best in Cup practice based on average speed, but this is going to move him up a spot or two in fantasy owners' estimation.
Earnhardt wins rain-shortened HHSaturday 5/31, 1:10 PM CT
Dale Earnhardt, Jr had the fastest average speed in Happy Hour after taking only nine laps, but the team reported they were struggling.

Our View: His first two sessions were unimpressive, but we're betting Earnhardt will get the car dialed in during Sunday's Best Buy 400.
Johnson fastest in HHSaturday 5/31, 1:07 PM CT
Jimmie Johnson backed up his fast speed in the morning practice session with another fast lap in Happy Hour. He topped the chart at 150.830 mph. That session was halted after less than 20 minutes.

Our View: This team has a good finish in their future and given their recent Dover struggles, a top-10 would fit that bill.
Truex wins a.m. practiceSaturday 5/31, 12:02 PM CT
Jimmie Johnson may have posted the fastest single lap of the morning practice session, but Martin Truex Jr. had the quickest average speed at 147.154 during 30 laps.

Our View: Truex is the defending winner there and had another strong show last fall before sustaining crash damage. He's priced right to be on a lot of rosters.
Johnson fastest in Saturday a.m. practiceSaturday 5/31, 11:48 AM CT
Jimmie Johnson posted the fastest single lap of practice, with a speed of 151.847 mph.

Our View: Johnson has had some tough times at Dover in recent years, but that doesn't mean he can't turn things around. This could be his week.
Andretti to stay in Indy for nowSaturday 5/31, 11:40 AM CT
John Andretti will run two more Indy races in the No. 24 Roth entry—this week at Milwaukee and next week at Texas.

Our View: His ride in that series is much more competitive, and it has to be more fulfilling.
Martin has best 5-yr Dover avg.Saturday 5/31, 11:26 AM CT
Mark Martin has the best five-year average finish at Dover. In that span he's finished 8.4 in 10 attempts.

Our View: Greg Biffle has the best three-year average (5.8), but the grizzled veteran has been stronger, longer and that makes him an equally good value this week.
N'Wide: Casola fails to qualifySaturday 5/31, 10:52 AM CT
Only 44 cars showed up at Dover this week, but that is little consolation to Dominick Casola. He had the slowest time of 144.213 mph and will head home.

Our View: Casola is a local driver who hoped to make good and he will continue to shine on short tracks.
Biffle has best 3-yr Dover avg.Saturday 5/31, 10:49 AM CT
Greg Biffle has the best three-year average finish at Dover, with a 5.8 in his last six attempts.

Our View: In that span, he's finished outside the top-10 only once, and in the Nationwide series, he has an average of 9.3 during the past three years. He really loves this track.
N'Wide: Logano qualifies top 10Saturday 5/31, 10:48 AM CT
The much anticipated debut of Joey Logano will kick off with a ninth-place start for the Heluva Good! 200.

Our View: The kid should be able to keep his emotions in check, and is a good bet to finish what he starts.
N'Wide: Edwards wins Dover poleSaturday 5/31, 10:46 AM CT
Carl Edwards will lead Denny Hamlin and the remainder of the field to the green Saturday afternoon. His top speed was 154.387 mph.

Our View: There is a reason why they call this guy 'Concrete Carl." He should be on a lot of rosters.
