Pruett in #41 at InfineonTuesday 6/17, 7:37 PM CT
Scott Pruett will replace Reed Sorenson behind the wheel of the No. 41 Dodge this week.

Our View: This should give Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) a potent road racing combination with Juan Montoya and Dario Franchitti joining Pruett—who has made six starts at Infineon with a best result of third in 2004.
Boris Said on Infineon rosterTuesday 6/17, 6:59 PM CT
Get out your curly brown wig: Boris Said will attempt to make the Toyota / SaveMart 350k in his self-owned Ford.

Our View: If he makes the show, Said is worth the price of admission on his own and with four top-15s in his last five Cup road races, he's one of the better road ringers in the game.
Tuesday 6/17, 4:48 PM CT
To help insure that the No. 66 Haas Automation car makes the Toyota / SaveMart 350k at Infineon Raceway, road ringer Max Papis will climb behind the wheel.

Our View: If he makes the show, that will be his first NASCAR Sprint Cup start; Papis failed to qualify the Furniture Row entry at the Glen in 2006, but he does have a third-place finish on a road course in the Nationwide series, last year at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
Burton extends top-15 streakTuesday 6/17, 4:20 PM CT
Jeff Burton finished only 15th in the LifeLock 400, but that was enough to extend his streak of top-15s to a remarkable 21 straight races.

Our View: Consistency earns points, and Burton is the consummate place-and-hold driver.
N'Wide: Busch to skip MilwaukeeTuesday 6/17, 3:27 PM CT
After finishing 30th at Kentucky—his fourth finish of 20th or worse in the last four races— Kyle Busch has chosen to suspend his 'full time' Nationwide effort and will skip his first race in the junior series this season.

Our View: When he stays out of trouble, Busch has four wins and a second in his last 10 races—but it is getting increasingly difficult to stay out of trouble.
Stewart goes dirt trackin'Tuesday 6/17, 2:22 PM CT
Tony Stewart will get behind the wheel of a 360 sprint car on Tuesday and compete in the Ollie’s 360 Challenge at Dave Blaney's family track: Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio.

Our View: Stewart will have company. Kasey Kahne and Blaney will also get back to their roots on this three-eighths mile oval.
Sorenson's negative streak up to 14Tuesday 6/17, 1:23 PM CT
Reed Sorenson's 34th-place finish at Michigan was his 14th consecutive finish outside the top-10. He last tasted success with a fifth in the Daytona 500.

Our View: In those 14 races, he has averaged a finish of only 30.1 and Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) continues to struggle greatly.
Harvick extends running streakTuesday 6/17, 12:07 PM CT
Coming home 12th in the Toyota / SaveMart 350k, Kevin Harvick extended his record-setting streak of races in which he was running at the end.

Our View: There is an old adage in racing: "in order to finish first, one must first finish," and Harvick has that down pat.
Mears looking for rare road top-10Tuesday 6/17, 11:08 AM CT
On Sunday in the Toyota / SaveMart 350k, Casey Mears will be looking for his first road racing top-10 in the Cup series in more than three years.

Our View: This is notable because in 2004, it appeared he was going to be one of the road racing stars, with a sweep of the top 10 at Infineon and Watkins Glen, but he's averaged a result of 23.3 in the six races since.
Logano coming to Cup?Tuesday 6/17, 9:41 AM CT
Expect to find Joey Logano on a few Cup rosters toward the end of the season—at least that is the hope of Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR).

Our View: He's already become the youngest winner in Nationwide series history and at the right track, in the right equipment, it's not impossible he could win in Cup this year as well.
