Sam I am won't miss spotlightSaturday 5/17, 11:59 PM CT
Sam Cassell hasn't been playing much lately, but he's as clutch as they come. Throughout his career the cagey point guard has been known for stepping up when it matters most, including in his early NBA days helping lead the Houston Rockets to two titles.

Our View: While Boston's starter at the point, Rajon Rondo, will likely play the big minutes, look for Sam to make some sort of splash in Game 7.
James takes his show to BostonSaturday 5/17, 11:57 PM CT
How much does home court matter in the NBA playoffs? To the Celtics, it seems to matter as much as anything. More than any other team, the Celts have seemed to feed off the energy of their home court. A perfect 7-0 at TD Banknorth Garden, Boston has simply dominated playoff opponents in their own barn. Through those seven victories, they haven't allowed an opponent to break the 90-point barrier in a single contest. And how do the Cavaliers do on the road? They are 2-4 away from home, which doesn't bode too well in their Game 7 trip to Beantown. Then again, it's hard to count the Cavaliers out of any important game as long as LeBron James is playing.

Our View: The Cleveland icon has finally gotten comfortable offensively (scoring 35 and 32 points, respectively, in his past two games against Boston).
Billups still expected to play in Game 1Saturday 5/17, 9:36 AM CT
Chauncey Billups is still expected to play in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, according to the Detroit Free Press. He is nursing a hamstring ailment, but went full speed during Friday's practice, and Coach Flip Saunders remarked, "He's actually worked harder today than he's worked even when he's real healthy."

Our View: Billups hasn't played since suffering the injury early in Game 3 of the second-round series against Orlando, and Detroit is awaiting their next opponent, which will be settled by Game 7 between Boston and Cleveland.

Mehmet Okur recorded his third straight double-double in Friday's 108-105 loss to Los Angeles, as he scored 16 points with 10 rebounds. He also blocked one shot.

Our View: He had four total double-doubles through the series, but it just wasn't Utah's time to shine, as the Lakers ended the series 4-2.

Carlos Boozer notched a game-high 14 boards in Friday's 108-105 loss to the Lakers. He also tallied 12 points, two assists, and one steal. The Lakers won the series 4-2.

Our View: Boozer had a solid series against Los Angeles, as he averaged 12.8 rebounds and 16 points.

Deron Williams had a strong outing in Friday's 108-105 loss to the Lakers as he generated 21 points, 14 assists, four boards, and one steal. Los Angeles won the series 4-2.

Our View: Utah's season is now over and Williams played hard until the final game, as he registered five double-doubles in the series, and just missed a sixth.

Pau Gasol registered a double-double in Friday's 108-105 win over Utah in series ending Game 6, as he scored 17 points with 13 boards. He also blocked four shots.

Our View: That was his third double-double of the series, and proved to be a key ingredient for the Lakers as they reached the Western Conference Finals.

Kobe Bryant battled through his sore back to score a game-high 34 points in Friday's 108-105 win over Utah. He also chipped in eight boards and six assists.
