Duncan dominates boards vs LakersSunday 5/25, 10:36 PM CT
The scoring of Manu Ginobili might garner a few headlines, but the work of the best power forward to ever play the game, a.k.a. Tim Duncan , should astound as you review the box score from tonight's 103-84 win over the Lakers to take Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals. Duncan shot 8-of-17 from the field and 6-of-9 from the free-throw line to score 22 points, but it was the 21 rebounds that led to the Spurs to such a dominating performance.

Our View: Duncan also added five assists and one blocked shot to the stat line.
Kobe plays well, other Lakers do notSunday 5/25, 10:29 PM CT
The bulk of the Lakers struggled to rise in the 103-84 loss to the Spurs in Game 3 of the Western Conference finals. However, it is no shock that guard Kobe Bryant was at the top of the offensive charts, shooting 12-of-23 from the field, 4-of-9 from the three-point line, and 0-of-1 (that's right, just one foul earned) at the free-throw line to score 30 points, also adding five rebounds, one assist, and three steals to the box score.

Our View: Bryant is going to need more from the supporting cast if the Lakers are going to win on the road, but you know Mamba will be there regardless.
Ginobili scores 30 for Spurs win in Game 3Sunday 5/25, 10:26 PM CT
The San Antonio Spurs got back on track this evening, taking the 103-84 win over the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 3 of the Western Conference finals. The Spurs were led by guard Manu Ginobili , earning 31 minutes of play despite coming off the bench to shoot 9-of-15 from the floor, an astounding 5-of-7 from three-point range, and 7-of-7 from the charity stripe to score 30 points.

Our View: Manu's other numbers lacked, but the scoring set the pace in a dominating performance on the home court for the Spurs to bring the series to 2-1 in favor of the Lakers.
J-Noah arrested for marijuana possessionSunday 5/25, 7:11 PM CT
Chicago center Joakim Noah was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with marijuana possession, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Authorities in Gainesville, Florida report Noah was arrested around 1:50am on Sunday after an officer spotted him on a sidewalk holding a plastic cup containing an amber drink, a violation of city law. During the resulting search, the officer found marijuana in Noah's pocket. Noah could face up to 6 months in jail and a $500 fine for the charge.
Billups will fight through injury Sunday 5/25, 2:39 PM CT
Chauncey Billups likely isn't going to be healthy for the remainder of the Eastern Conference Finals against Boston, but he is not going to let his ailing right hamstring keep him off the court, according to ESPN.com. Billups said, "Hurt or not, I still have to play better and fight through it. At this juncture of the season, you can't sit out. I'm one of the main leaders of the team. We've got a young guy, Stuckey, who is playing great and we've got to find ways to keep him playing well. But I know I have to play good for us to win."

Our View: Stuckey has fared well as he is averaging 13 points against the Celtics, but hasn't been good enough as the Pistons trail in the series 2-1. The Pistons will host Game 4 on Monday, and coach Flip Saunders is hoping for the best from Billups.
Billups limited to six points Sunday 5/25, 7:31 AM CT
Chauncey Billups is still bothered by his ailing right hamstring, and he was limited to six points over a little under 27 minutes of action in Saturday's 94-80 loss to Boston in Game 3. He shot 1-of-6 from the field, and 1-of-4 from long range. He also mustered three boards and four assists.

Our View: That was his lowest point output of the series, and his second lowest of the postseason. Detroit now trails Boston 2-1 in the series with him less than 100%.
Hamilton scores game-high 26 Sunday 5/25, 7:25 AM CT
Richard Hamilton scored a game-high 26 points in Saturday's 94-80 loss to Boston in Game 3. He also contributed two boards, two assists, two steals, and two blocks.

Our View: He is averaging 22 points over the three games in the series, but hasn't been good enough to carry the Pistons as they trail the Celtics 2-1.
Perkins registers double-double Sunday 5/25, 7:20 AM CT
Kendrick Perkins registered a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds in Saturday's 94-80 win over Detroit in Game 3. He also had one steal and one block. Boston leads the series 2-1.

Our View: He is only averaging seven points over the three games in the series, but reached 10 boards twice.
