Parkers scores 23 in loss to LakersTuesday 5/27, 11:09 PM CT
Guard Tony Parker and the Spurs now face a daunting proposition after suffering the loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, 93-91, in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals. Parker shot 8-of-17 from the field and a perfect 7-of-7 from the free-throw line to score 23 points, adding nine assists and four rebounds to the cause.

Our View: Despite Parker's efforts and the impressive performance from teammate Tim Duncan, the Spurs now face a 3-1 deficit in the series, and the ability to prevail may be all but lost.
Duncan dominates, but Lakers winTuesday 5/27, 11:05 PM CT
The Spurs have taken a worrisome fall at home this evening, losing to the Los Angeles Lakers 93-91 in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals. Power forward Tim Duncan did all he could to put his team in position to win, shooting 10-of-26 from the field and 9-of-11 from the charity stripe to score 29 points, adding a prolific 17 rebounds to complete the double-double effort.

Our View: Duncan also added three blocked shots and three steals, a stat line no other player in the game can match, but the Spurs leave with the loss and are now down 3-1 in the series. Every game is now a must-win for Duncan and crew, and it seems almost impossible to imagine they overcome those odds.
Kobe, Lakers take Game 4Tuesday 5/27, 11:01 PM CT
The Lakers have taken a commanding 3-1 lead in the Western Conference Finals against the San Antonio Spurs, winning tonight in San Antonio, 93-91. As usual, the charge was led by guard Kobe Bryant , shooting 14-of-29 from the field to score a team-high 28 points, also adding 10 rebounds to complete the double-double.

Our View: Bryant failed to garner a single foul, never taking a shot from the free-throw line and missing the only three-point shot he launched. All of points came from the floor, and tonight the Lakers needed each and every one of them. Now they adjourn to Los Angeles with hopes of closing this series and moving on the NBA Championship series.
Garbajosa still rehabbingTuesday 5/27, 11:55 AM CT
Jorge Garbajosa still has no timetable for his return from left ankle/leg surgery. "He's making progress," GM Bryan Colangelo informs the Toronto Sun. "We're being very cautious with respect to his return. A strict protocol has been established with respect to his rehabilitation." Garbajosa played in only seven games this past season. He initially broke his lower left leg and dislocated his left ankle in March of 2007, and further complications led to a surgery this past December.

Our View: Garbajosa is another big question amidst the Raptors stack of offseason worries. The roster could see a lot of changes this summer. No matter what happens, though, Jorge won't have much fantasy value heading into 2008-09.
Billups fought for 10 points in win Tuesday 5/27, 7:09 AM CT
Chauncey Billups fought through his injured hamstring to score 10 points in Monday's key 94-75 win in Game 4. He only shot 3-of-12 from the field (1-for-3 from long range), but also contributed seven assists and two steals. The series is now tied 2-2.

Our View: Billups has reached double digits in scoring in the Pistons' two wins over Boston, and only scored six and nine points in the two losses. It is clear that the series hinges on his health for Detroit.
Hamilton drops 20 in Game 4 winTuesday 5/27, 12:08 AM CT
Richard Hamilton had 20 points to help lift Detroit to a 94-75 series-evening win Monday night in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals.

Our View: Hamilton played in 114th postseason game, breaking Bill Laimbeer's team record.
