Posey decision to come MondaySunday 7/13, 11:50 PM CT
The Boston Globe reported on Sunday night that forward James Posey's agent, Mark Bartelstien, said there could be "something" contract-wise for his client on Monday.

Our View: Bartelstien would not divulge the interested teams, but an NBA source said that the Hornets seem to be the "other team" most interested in Posey.
Lue visitis MiamiSunday 7/13, 8:38 PM CT
Tyronn Lue told the Miami Herald on Sunday that he will take a physical on Monday and if things go well he will receive an offer from the Heat. ``It would be a great situation [in Miami]. It definitely would be big playing with Dwyane Wade.''

Our View: Lue who said that Phoenix is his first choice is also considering and offer from Boston.
Arenas puts ink to paperSunday 7/13, 8:34 PM CT
According to the Associated Press, Gilbert Arenas has officially signed his six-year, $111 million contract with the Washington Wizards on Sunday. Arenas and the Wizards agreed to the deal July 3, but both sides waited until Arenas returned from an overseas vacation to put ink to paper. "Today is a great day for the Wizards organization," team president Ernie Grunfeld said. "Gilbert is a phenomenal player and his value to the franchise goes beyond what he brings to the court."

Our View: The Wizards now appear to be in line to sign Antawn Jamison to a four-year, $50 million contract.
Jawai sits due to injurySunday 7/13, 2:22 PM CT
Nathan Jawai did not play in the Toronto Raptors summer league game yesterday due to a groin strain he suffered a few weeks ago, according to Slam! Sports.

Our View: Jawai is 6-foot-10 and nearly 300 pounds, so he has the body to play in the NBA, but he will need time to develop and become an impact player in both the NBA and fantasy leagues.
Hawes puts up big numbersSunday 7/13, 1:26 PM CT
Spencer Hawes put up big numbers for the Sacramento Kings summer league team on Saturday. In the team's 93-86 victory over the Raptors, Hawes scored 23 points and had nine rebounds.

Our View: Hawes played alongside Shelden Williams for much of the game, and the duo worked well together. Hawes may see some playing time immediately as the season starts due to Brad Miller's suspension, but his fantasy value will decline when Miller comes back.
Alexander struggles in summer gameSunday 7/13, 12:11 PM CT
Joe Alexander did not play well, scoring just seven points on 2-for-13 shooting in 33 minutes, and gathered only three rebounds and one assist while collecting five fouls.

Our View: Alexander will eventually get it going, but his fantasy value is small, as he will likely be playing behind Richard Jefferson and Charlie Villanueva for the Bucks.
Mayo puts up 26 pointsSunday 7/13, 11:55 AM CT
OJ Mayo had 26 points and five rebounds in the Grizzlies 88-79 summer league victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. He shot 9-of-19 from the field.

Our View: Mayo is going to score when he gets to the NBA, so he will have value in fantasy leagues, but it will be much greater if he can deliver an all-around game.
Ajinca's skills are impressingSunday 7/13, 11:12 AM CT
Alexis Ajinca is showing impressive skills for a 7-footer, though his wire frame holds only 220 pounds, so the team is working on making him stronger, according to the Charlotte Observer.

Our View: The team stressed Ajinca has quite a ways to go before becoming a true impact player, so he likely has no fantasy value, but he's a name to remember down the road.
May rounding into shapeSunday 7/13, 10:38 AM CT
Sean May has changed his diet and started conditioning drills, and he is confident he will be ready for training camp, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: May insists he is fully healthy, but microfracture surgery is difficult to recover from. His fantasy value is null right now, but if he happens to prove he is healthy and gets some minutes, that could change.
Randolph's passing skills impressing NelsonSunday 7/13, 9:33 AM CT
The passing ability of rookie Anthony Randolph has impressed Golden State coach Don Nelson, who envisions Randolph as an eventual point forward, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. "He's got a lot of skill. He can handle, he can pass, he can block shots, he can score," Nelson said.

Our View: If this continues, the 6-foot-10 Randolph is someone who fantasy owners may want to take a flyer on when it comes time for drafts.
Nets interested in DoolingSunday 7/13, 9:02 AM CT
The New Jersey Nets are looking at acquiring combo guard Keyon Dooling, according to the New York Post.

Our View: The Nets may not have enough to meet Dooling's financial demands, so this is far from a done deal. Dooling remains one of the top guards available due to his versatility.
Augustin plays well in summer league debutSunday 7/13, 8:58 AM CT
DJ Augustin played well in his initial game for the Charlotte Bobcats summer league team, scoring 14 points and dishing out two assists, according to the Charlotte Observer.

Our View: Raymond Felton was drafted to play point for the Bobcats three seasons ago and has generally been solid. However, it looks like he will have competition at the position in Augustin, as the two will battle it out for playing time.
Teams interested in acquiring MarionSunday 7/13, 8:02 AM CT
The Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors are interested in the services of Shawn Marion, according to the Miami Herald.

Our View: Moving back to the more familiar Western Conference may be appealing to Marion, who is a quality fantasy performer and would retain his value on either club.
Pistons not close to deal for McGradySunday 7/13, 7:55 AM CT
The Detroit Pistons say they are not "remotely close" to a deal for Houston Rockets forward Tracy McGrady, according to the Detroit Free-Press.

Our View: Regardless of where he plays, when healthy, McGrady is one of the top players in fantasy basketball.
