According to the Associated Press, Gilbert Arenas has officially signed his six-year, $111 million contract with the Washington Wizards on Sunday. Arenas and the Wizards agreed to the deal July 3, but both sides waited until Arenas returned from an overseas vacation to put ink to paper.
"Today is a great day for the Wizards organization," team president Ernie Grunfeld said. "Gilbert is a phenomenal player and his value to the franchise goes beyond what he brings to the court."
Our View: The Wizards now appear to be in line to sign Antawn Jamison to a four-year, $50 million contract. |

Our View: Hawes played alongside Shelden Williams for much of the game, and the duo worked well together. Hawes may see some playing time immediately as the season starts due to Brad Miller's suspension, but his fantasy value will decline when Miller comes back. |
