Bayless leads Blazers with 36 points Sunday 7/20, 12:08 PM CT
Jerryd Bayless led the Blazers with 36 points in Saturday's summer league game, according to NBA.com. 17 of his points came in the fourth quarter and he hit the game-winning jumper with 18 seconds left in a 74-73 win over the Suns.

Our View: He isn't racking up a whole lot of assists while working as a point guard, but has been a strong source of scoring for the Blazers through the summer league. He could be limited as a rookie while playing on a deep and talented Portland roster, and he still needs to prove he can handle all of the facets of playing the point guard spot.

Six teams interested in George Sunday 7/20, 8:26 AM CT
The Dallas Morning News states that there are six NBA teams interested in acquiring the services of free agent Devean George. The teams interested are the Suns, Spurs, Timberwolves, Cavaliers, Hornets, and possibly the Celtics after losing James Posey.

Our View: It is not likely the swingman will return to the Mavericks next season. The team only has two open spots left on the roster and little money to work with after inking DeSagana Diop. George could benefit from a fresh start with a new team, but won't likely earn enough minutes per game to rank as "fantasy worthy" for next season.
Leunen making impression Sunday 7/20, 8:19 AM CT
Second-round pick Maarty Leunen is making a solid impression with the Rockets so far, according to the Houston Chronicle. He has been hitting open shots and displaying good toughness in the post, which fits the Rockets' offense well. He made five of eight shots for 13 points in the Rockets' 80-75 overtime loss to Washington on Saturday. Rick Adelman said, "He can take and make big shots. He can legitimately play inside. He's used to banging people. He has a chance to be a player in our league. He can space the court and he'll battle."

Our View: He looks to have a future with the club, but is expected to spend at least a year overseas to work on his game, which means he will hold no fantasy value as a rookie.
