NEWSBREAKERS NBA
Tinsley getting in shapeSunday 7/27, 7:52 PM CT
Jamaal Tinsley has been losing a good amount of weight during his offseason workouts according to the Indianapolis Star. The Pacers have aggressively been trying to trade the seven-year veteran, but teams are wary of his conditioning, attitude and contract. Jamaal reportedly put on 20 pounds while injured last season.

Our View: There are teams that need point guards and Tinsley certainly needs a fresh start as it appears the Pacers are not willing to keep him this season with T.J. Ford and Jarrett Jack now in the mix. A deal for one of Sacramento's many power forwards makes sense as the swap would fill needs for both teams. Tinsley is a dark horse in fantasy leagues if he gets traded. For his career he has averaged seven assissts and 1.7 steals per game.
Biedrins will stay with WarriorsSunday 7/27, 7:13 PM CT
NBA front-office sources told ESPN.com that Andris Biedrins will sign a new six-year contract with the Warriors worth nearly $63 million on Monday. If all goes as planned, the Warriors will have shelled out over $200 million this summer for Biedrins, Monta Ellis, Corey Maggette, Ronny Turiaf and Kelenna Azubuike.

Our View: Finally, a little bit of good news for the NBA. Biedrins had been attracting big money from European teams but it appears that the 22-year old center is not going anywhere. He should be good for 12 points and 10 boards a game next season. His 63% shooting percentage was also among the best in the league. He would greatly help his fantasy value if he could block a few more shots. Last season he averaged 1.2 a game.
Finley wants to re-sign with Spurs Sunday 7/27, 8:29 AM CT
Michael Finley wants to re-sign with the Spurs, according to CelticsBlog.com.

Our View: Finley has other offers, but his first choice is to return to San Antonio. He would provide solid depth off the bench if he remains with the Spurs for another year, but is not going to be worthy of a fantasy roster.
