Clinton Hart signed a 5-year contract extension on Monday with the Chargers, this according to the AP. “It’s a day that I’ve been waiting for,” Hart said. “I’ve put in a lot of work. I feel blessed and I’m happy to be part of the Chargers for a few more years so we can make that run at a world championship.” Hart started all 19 games for the Chargers last season including the playoffs, and produced 85 tackles and five INT during the regular season from the strong safety position.
Lowe returns to SeattleMonday 4/7, 3:05 PM CT
Omare Lowe is back in Seattle. The Seahawks have signed the defensive back to a one-year, $605,000 deal, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports. Lowe was with the Seahawks in training camp 2005 but then spent 2005-07 with the Falcons. He grew up in the Seattle area and played at the University of Washington.
Hobson signs one-year dealMonday 4/7, 3:00 PM CT
The Patriots signed Victor Hobson to a one-year deal on Monday, the Boston Globe confirms. The 28-year-old linebacker typically plays on the outside, but he could move inside for the Patriots. It's a nice signing for a team that badly needs linebacker depth.

Jake Delhomme will begin throwing a football on Monday. It's a big step back in his recovery from his Tommy John surgery last October. Delhomme will open the week with shorter throws and work his way into longer passes, the Gaston Gazette reports. He hopes to be ready for training camp.

Brandon Marshall had the cast removed from his right arm over the weekend. "The doctor said it looks good," Marshall tells the Denver Post. "All we have to do now is wait for the artery to come around, but everything else is healing well." He will remain in a sling for another four weeks and then begin rehab. Marshall hopes to be ready for training camp.

David Garrard has inked a long-term deal with the Jaguars, the AP reports. Terms were not disclosed, but the contract could be similar to the six-year, $67.5 million deal inked by Tony Romo last year.
