Allen questioned by policeSaturday 5/17, 8:46 PM CT
Both the Palm Beach Post and the Sun-Sentinel are reporting that Will Allen may have been involved in a money dispute that might have resulted in Allen pulling a gun on somebody in the parking lot of a Bed, Bath & Beyond. The investigation by the Davie Police Department is still ongoing and no charges have been filed.

Our View: The premise of this report is that there was a dispute over money in the parking lot. A report on local TV says that Allen had to borrow money to pay gambling debts. Then when the lender demanded repayment, Allen pulled a gun on him.

Browns offensive lineman Ryan Tucker underwent successful surgery Friday to repair a non displaced fracture in his hip, this according to the official team website. Tucker is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season.

Manning not sure Favre is done? Saturday 5/17, 1:08 PM CT
Colts' quarterback Peyton Manning is not sure Brett Favre has hung up his cleats for good, according to ProFootballTalk.com. Manning recently explained that he usually writes a letter to players who have retired. Manning says he has yet to pen a letter to Favre. Manning doesn’t have any inside information, he’s just taking the same wait-and-see approach that the rest of us have employed, given Favre’s equivocation on the subject in a handful of interviews since he announced his decision to retire. Manning said, "Like everybody else, I guess we'll see what happens this fall. In a lot of ways I kind of hope he returns. Brett's a guy that's been such an influence on me and all young quarterbacks. I guess part of it is kind of hope, maybe, that he finds his way back in the NFL this year."

Our View: Manning still writes letters. Hasn't he heard of email?
Miller looked good on Thursday Saturday 5/17, 10:09 AM CT
Zach Miller looked good during the team OTA on Thursday, as he made a couple of solid receptions on seam routes and over the middle, according to the Contra Costa Times.

Our View: Miller developed a nice chemistry with quarterback JaMarcus Russell at the end of their rookie season in 2007, and Miller racked up 44 receptions for 444 yards and three touchdowns. He should make a bigger impact in his sophomore campaign, and his fantasy stock is on the rise.
Walker needs to improve conditioning? Saturday 5/17, 10:02 AM CT
Javon Walker needs to work on his conditioning, according to the Contra Costa Times. Drew Carter outperformed Javon Walker on Thursday during the team OTA.

Our View: Usually news like this isn't significant this early in the off-season, but Walker is coming off another injury plagued season and has chronic knee problems. Walker will remain a fantasy risk until he proves he has regained his explosive edge in Oakland.
Howard sitting out with injurySaturday 5/17, 9:56 AM CT
DE/LB Marcus Howard was held out of minicamp drills because of an undisclosed injury, according to StampedeBlue.com.

Our View: More news regarding the injury should be released soon.
Freeney not participating in minicampSaturday 5/17, 9:45 AM CT
Dwight Freeney did not participate in minicamp, but that was expected, according to StampedeBlue.com. Freeney is recovering from lis fran surgery on his left foot.

Our View: A complete recovery is expected for Freeney, but his low tackle totals and potentially declining sack totals keep him ranked as a fringe fantasy prospect.
