Palmer getting second opinionSunday 10/12, 11:56 PM CT
Quarterback Carson Palmer will meet with Dr. David Altchek in New York on Monday. He is hoping to get good news about his strained and inflamed right elbow. "I was told it would get better after about a month or two and every day its gotten better, so thats a good thing," Palmer tells the team's official web site. "Hopefully it got better over the last week. It was my decision to get a second opinion and have someone else look at it other then our doctors. Hopefully they'll have a different opinion and say it looks a lot better and I'll be able to play." He originally suffered the injury on September 21. MRIs have shown no structural damage.

Our View: Palmer may be hoping to return this week, but we feel less optimistic. The Bengals are 0-6 and have no reason to rush him back before he is at or very near 100 percent. We're sure there will be plenty of updates throughout the coming week.
Pickett slated for elbow MRISunday 10/12, 11:50 PM CT
Defensive tackle Ryan Pickett will undergo an MRI on his injured left elbow on Monday, the Green Bay Press Gazette notes. "I just overextended it," Pickett said after the game. "All I know right now is that it hurts."

Our View: The Packers run defense has not played well this year, and the line previously lost Cullen Jenkins for the season. For their sake, let's hope this injury isn't serious.
Graham unselfishly shifts to fullbackSunday 10/12, 11:45 PM CT
Running back Earnest Graham shifted to fullback during the Week 6 win over the Panthers because Byron Storer injured his knee, the Tampa Tribune reports. The starter volunteered to make the move. "That's what this game is all about," head coach Jon Gruden says. "Earnest Graham stepped up, unselfishly so, and played as good a fullback as we've had a fullback play since I've been here."

Our View: Graham still managed to score a touchdown and help fantasy owners, and if you were worried about the major shift in carries, now you know why. The Bucs will likely find a new fullback in the coming week and return Graham to his usual role.
Muhammad injury not seriousSunday 10/12, 11:30 PM CT
Wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad was able to return during the Week 6 loss in Tampa, the Charlotte Observer confirms. He injured his left knee during the fourth quarter.

Our View: Moose didn't have a catch after coming back, but we figure he should be able to play in Week 7. The Panthers will hopefully provide an update early in the week.
Smith injures shoulderSunday 10/12, 10:43 PM CT
Running back Kevin Smith injured his shoulder during the Week 6 loss to the Vikings, MLive.com reports.

Our View: Smith and Johnson split carries in the first half (five apiece), but Rudi handled the entire load in the second half. We'll update the rookie's status when more is known. Johnson could see a short-term value boost if Smith misses time.
Gates finds the end zoneSunday 10/12, 10:35 PM CT
Tight end Antonio Gates caught four passes for 35 yards and a touchdown in the Week 6 win over the Patriots. He also dropped a likely touchdown early in the first quarter.

Our View: Gates has scored in four of the six games, but he has yet to produce more than 61 yards in any contest. He has been battling injuries, and we're hoping he will start to rack up more catches and yards as his toe and hip feel better.
Rivers goes for 300 and threeSunday 10/12, 10:33 PM CT
Quarterback Philip Rivers completed 18-of-27 passes for 306 yards and three touchdowns in the Week 6 win over the Patriots.

Our View: Rivers bounced back from rough showings in Oakland and Miami and is back in our good graces. Fantasy owners should continue to count on him moving forward.
Morris scores late touchdownSunday 10/12, 10:30 PM CT
Running back Sammy Morris rushed 10 times for 26 yards in the Week 6 loss to the Chargers. He added a short touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Our View: Morris is doing nothing to make the fans stop praying that Laurence Maroney and LaMont Jordan can get healthy. Sammy has three scores this year, but he has generally struggled in the primary role.
Jackson blows upSunday 10/12, 10:28 PM CT
Wide receiver Vincent Jackson caught five passes for 134 yards and a touchdown in the Week 6 win over the Patriots.

Our View: Jackson stepped up with Chris Chambers out. Vincent has long had talent, but he is often marginalized due to all the talent on the Bolts roster. Jackson should continue to shine if Chambers misses more time.
Johnson expects to be okaySunday 10/12, 10:26 PM CT
Wide receiver Calvin Johnson missed the end of the Week 6 game against the Vikings after taking a shot to the head. He tells MLive.com, "I'll be all right." Head coach Rod Marinelli says Johnson had blurred vision after the hit.

Our View: Calvin's left eye looked a little irritated when we were watching the telecast, but it doesn't sounds like this injury will linger.
Sheppard injures hamstringSunday 10/12, 10:23 PM CT
Cornerback Lito Sheppard strained his hamstring during the third quarter of the Week 6 win over the 49ers, the Philadelphia Inquirer notes. He did not return.

Our View: Sheppard is the third cornerback, but he is a valuable piece of the defense. We didn't figure that the Eagles would try to trade him before Tuesday's deadline, and this injury could cut off any talks.
Kitna's future unclearSunday 10/12, 10:20 PM CT
The Lions continue to dodge questions about the long-term health and the short-term future of quarterback Jon Kitna. He underwent an MRI and consulted a spine specialist after injuring his back in Week 5 and did not play in Week 6. Head coach Rod Marinelli tells MLive.com that the organization would huddle on Monday to discuss Kitna's future.

Our View: The Lions probably don't want to wave a white flag so early in the year, but nobody believes they are going anywhere. They might as well let Dan Orlovsky or Drew Stanton play and try to figure out if they have a long-term answer at quarterback.
Sproles tweaks ankleSunday 10/12, 10:06 PM CT
Running back Darren Sproles was "having his ankle evaluated" during the fourth quarter of the Week 6 game against the Patriots, the NBC telecast notes.

Our View: The telecast was explaining why Jacob Hester was in the game, and we don't know any more about Sproles at this point.
Peterson has sore wristSunday 10/12, 9:31 PM CT
Running back Adrian Peterson received treatment for a sore left wrist after the Week 6 win over the Lions, the Minneapolis Star Tribune notes. He says his wrist is "all right."

Our View: We don't imagine this will be a problem moving forward, but we'll be sure to follow up.
McBriar bruises right ankleSunday 10/12, 9:28 PM CT
Punter Mat McBriar suffered a bruised right ankle at the end of the Week 6 loss to the Cardinals, the Dallas Morning News reports.

Our View: Previous reports suggested something worse than just a bruise. We expect a more informative update on Monday.
No update on JonesSunday 10/12, 9:27 PM CT
The Cowboys expect to have an update regarding running back Felix Jones on Monday, the Dallas Morning News reports. He suffered a strained left hamstring in Week 6.

Our View: The speedy rookie has dazzled early in the season. The Cowboys offense and fantasy teams don't necessarily need him, but Jones doesn't bring an extra giddy-up to the Dallas attack.
Romo injures pinkieSunday 10/12, 9:23 PM CT
Quarterback Tony Romo sprained his right pinkie finger during the Week 6 loss to the Cardinals, the Dallas Morning News notes.

Our View: Oh! Gosh, do you think he'll be okay?! We're joking, of course. We'll update Romo's status once more is known, but we doubt this ailment will hold him back in Week 7.
Zbikowski injures shoulderSunday 10/12, 9:10 PM CT
Safety Tom Zbikowski injured his shoulder in the first quarter of the Week 6 loss to the Colts and did not return, the Baltimore Sun reports.

Our View: The Ravens entered the game without cornerbacks Samari Rolle (shoulder) and Fabian Washington (shoulder) and safety Dawan Landry (neck), and they can't afford to lose any more defensive backs. Their secondary could continue to look vulnerable in the coming weeks.
Keasey could be out for seasonSunday 10/12, 9:07 PM CT
Fullback Zak Keasey tore a biceps tendon in Week 6 against the Eagles and is expected to miss the rest of the season, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Tight end Delanie Walker may take over as the primary fullback.

Our View: The worry for fantasy owners is that the loss of Keasey could affect Frank Gore, but Walker did a good job in Week 6.
Gaither suffers knee, shoulder injuriesSunday 10/12, 9:03 PM CT
Left tackle Jared Gaither suffered shoulder and knee injuries in Week 6, but he doesn't expect to miss any games, the Baltimore Sun reports.

Our View: The Ravens are already without right tackle Adam Terry and lost right guard Marshal Yanda in Week 6. The growing list of injuries could be bad news for this young offense.
Yanda slated for MRISunday 10/12, 9:01 PM CT
Guard Marshal Yanda will undergo an MRI on Monday, the Baltimore Sun confirms. He sprained his right knee in Week 6 against the Colts and was using crutches after the game.

Our View: The Ravens young and promising offensive line is starting to get very banged-up. That's not good for their ground game or for quarterback Joe Flacco. We'll update Yanda's status when more is known.
Cherilus, Ramirez pulledSunday 10/12, 8:58 PM CT
The Lions pulled tackle Gosder Cherilus and guard Manny Ramirez during the Week 6 loss to the Vikings due to poor play, MLive.com reports.

Our View: The Vikings have one of the better defensive lines in the NFL, so it's not a surprise that the rookie Cherilus and the second-year man Ramirez both struggled. These are the types of building blocks the Lions need to come through if they are to improve in the long run.
Meriweather injures hipSunday 10/12, 8:46 PM CT
Safety Brandon Meriweather is questionable to return after he suffered a hip injury during the second quarter of the Week 6 game in San Diego, the Boston Globe reports. Lewis Sanders has taken his place.

Our View: The Patriots pass defense hasn't been particularly great early in the year, and they've been beaten up and burned by the Chargers thus far tonight. It didn't seem like Meriweather's injury was serious, and they can ill afford to lose him.
Meriweather shaken upSunday 10/12, 8:30 PM CT
Safety Brandon Meriweather was shaken up during the second quarter of the Week 6 game against the Patriots.

Our View: Meriweather appeared to injury his lower back while breaking up a pass. We're not sure of the severity at this point.
Tomlinson surpasses 11,000Sunday 10/12, 8:28 PM CT
Running back LaDainian Tomlinson surpassed 11,000 career rushing yards during the Week 6 game against the Patriots. He is the fourth-fastest rusher to reach that mark, trailing Eric Dickerson, Jim Brown, and Barry Sanders. Tomlinson is the 17th back to reach that mark.

Our View: Later this season, LT could surpass Marcus Allen and moved into No. 2 on the career rushing touchdown list, and it's a good bet he will end up in the top-five of the yardage list, too. Yeah, Tomlinson is pretty decent.
Jones scores first career touchdownSunday 10/12, 8:20 PM CT
Wide receiver Jacoby Jones is on the board. The second-year speedster scored the first touchdown of his career when he returned a punt 70 yards in the Week 6 win over the Dolphins. "It means a lot to the team," head coach Gary Kubiak tells the team's official web site. "The kid needed to make a play to get all that swagger back he had a year ago. I think you’re going to see him move on and excel."

Our View: Jones looked like a serious playmaker back in the 2007 preseason, but a shoulder injury held him back throughout his rookie campaign. We've always felt like he was a dangerous return man, and he finally got one this week. Now, if he could just translate those skills to the offense, the Texans would really be pleased.
Hobbs returnsSunday 10/12, 8:13 PM CT
Cornerback Ellis Hobbs III returned during the second quarter of the Week 6 game against the Chargers. He injured his leg in the first quarter.

Our View: The Patriots have already suffered three notable injuries in this contest, and one guy is back. This is good news for the Pats secondary and their special teams.
Morgan sees more actionSunday 10/12, 8:09 PM CT
The 49ers worked wide receiver Josh Morgan into the action early during the Week 6 loss to the Eagles. The rookie replaced both Bryant Johnson and Arnaz Battle at times, the San Francisco Chronicle notes. Morgan caught one pass for 25 yards in the game.

Our View: Johnson did not have a catch in the game, and we have to wonder if the 49ers are ramping Morgan up to take over Bryant's starting job. Morgan was very impressive this preseason, but a staph infection set him back. Fantasy owners should probably ignore any 49ers receiver outside of Isaac Bruce.
Kaczur carted offSunday 10/12, 7:57 PM CT
Right tackle Nick Kaczur was carted off the field after suffering an injury during the first quarter of the Week 6 game in San Diego.

Our View: The Patriots are losing one player at an average of every four minutes in this contest. We'll update Kaczur's status when more is known, but this is more bad news for this offense.
Ankle injury for GreenSunday 10/12, 7:51 PM CT
Defensive end Jarvis Green injured his ankle during the first quarter of the Week 6 game against the Chargers and was carted to the locker room. His return is questionable, according to the NBC telecast.

Our View: Green isn't a starter, but he is a decent pass-rusher and part of the line rotation.
Hobbs injures legSunday 10/12, 7:48 PM CT
Cornerback Ellis Hobbs III headed to the locker room during the first quarter of the Week 6 game against the Chargers. The NBC telecast says he was running, but he is questionable to return due to a leg injury.

Our View: This injury hurts the Patriots suspect secondary and takes away the league's leading kickoff returner. We'd promise a future update, but we're talking about the Patriots here. They'll probably act like nothing happened.
Stokley takes shot to headSunday 10/12, 7:46 PM CT
Wide receiver Brandon Stokley suffered a head injury after his touchdown catch in the Week 6 loss to the Jaguars, NFL.com reports.

Our View: Stokley stepped up this week after the injuries to Eddie Royal and tight end Tony Scheffler. We'll update his status when more is known, but Brandon won't be as useful once Royal is ready to return.
Kerney suffers stingerSunday 10/12, 7:43 PM CT
Defensive end Patrick Kerney suffered a stinger during the Week 6 loss to the Packers, the Tacoma News Tribune reports.

Our View: That may help explain Kerney's quiet day. We're not sure how bad this injury is, and we'll update his status when more is known. This defense can ill-afford to lose the stud pass-rusher.
Hasselbeck to undergo more testsSunday 10/12, 7:40 PM CT
Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck did not play in Week 6, and he could be out a while longer. Head coach Mike Holmgren informs the Tacoma News Tribune that Hasselbeck will need to undergo more testing on his injured right knee. His recovery has not progressed as hoped.

Our View: The Seahawks can deal (somewhat) without some of their receivers, but their offense really needs Hasselbeck to be healthy. This is bad news for the entire crew. Charlie Frye started in Week 6, but Seneca Wallace (calf) could get the call in Week 7.
McBriar suffers injury on blockSunday 10/12, 7:36 PM CT
Punter Mat McBriar was "pretty hurt" on the blocked punt that turned into the game-winning play for the Cardinals in Week 6, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Our View: Apparently the Cards roughed up more than just McBriar's ego. The Aussie punter was a Pro Bowler in 2006 and is one of the better booters in the league. We'll update his status when more is known.
Green injuredSunday 10/12, 7:34 PM CT
Defensive end Jarvis Green was shaken up during the first quarter of the Week 6 game against the Chargers. His injury is not known.

Our View: The telecast has yet to provide any details. Green hasn't done much this year, but he can be a productive part of the Pats line rotation.
Pace pulls quad muscleSunday 10/12, 7:17 PM CT
Offensive tackle Orlando Pace pulled a quad muscle during the Week 6 win over the Redskins, the AP reports.

Our View: We really, really hope this is minor. The Rams offensive line is bad enough even when Pace is holding down the left side. We'll update his status when more is known.
Thrash hurts kneeSunday 10/12, 7:16 PM CT
Wide receiver James Thrash sprained his knee during the Week 6 loss to the Rams, the AP reports.

Our View: We don't know the extent of the injury yet. If Thrash is out for a while, we could see more of rookies Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly.
Leonard hurts shoulderSunday 10/12, 7:14 PM CT
Running back/fullback Brian Leonard injured his shoulder during the Week 6 win over the Redskins, the AP reports.

Our View: The Rams are already without Antonio Pittman, and they're down to Travis Minor as Steven Jackson's top backup. Jackson rarely takes a play off, though, so this isn't a huge deal right now.
Betts injures kneeSunday 10/12, 7:13 PM CT
Running back Ladell Betts sprained his knee during the Week 6 loss to the Rams, the AP reports.

Our View: We don't know the extent of the injury at this point. The Redskins could turn to Rock Cartwright as Clinton Portis's primary backup if Betts misses time.
Manning breaks bone in ankleSunday 10/12, 7:11 PM CT
Cornerback Ricky Manning Jr. broke a bone in his ankle during the Week 6 win over the Redskins, the AP reports.

Our View: The Rams are already thin at cornerback, and this injury won't help matters. The defense held Jason Campbell in check this week, but we won't hesitate to start passers against them in the future.
LaBoy limps off the fieldSunday 10/12, 7:09 PM CT
Defensive end/linebacker Travis LaBoy limped off the field late in the fourth quarter of the Week 6 win over the Cowboys.

Our View: We'll update his status when more is known. LaBoy has had a couple big afternoons this year, but he is too inconsistent for most IDP owners.
Owens disappointsSunday 10/12, 7:06 PM CT
Wide receiver Terrell Owens caught only four passes for 36 yards in the Week 6 loss to the Cardinals.

Our View: Including playoffs, that's 10 straight games below 90 yards for Owens, and he has more than five catches just once in those 10 contests. Owens still seems to be a stud, but the numbers are disturbing.
Fitzgerald finds the end zoneSunday 10/12, 7:04 PM CT
Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald caught five balls for 79 yards and a touchdown in the Week 6 win over the Cowboys.

Our View: Fitzy has either at least 120 yards or a touchdown in all six games this season, and he is making a strong case to be considering the No. 1 fantasy wideout.
Romo finishes with 300 and threeSunday 10/12, 7:02 PM CT
Quarterback Tony Romo completed 24-of-39 passes for 321 yards and three touchdowns in the Week 6 loss to the Cardinals.

Our View: Romo didn't seem to play as well as those numbers would indicate. He was hit often and spent a lot of time checking down to Marion Barber. But, hey, fantasy owners are obviously pleased with the digits.
Two touchdowns for WarnerSunday 10/12, 7:00 PM CT
Quarterback Kurt Warner completed 22-of-30 passes for 236 yards, two scores, and one interception in the Week 6 win over the Cowboys.

Our View: Warner has thrown for multiple touchdowns in five straight games and in 13 of the last 14 contests. He is an every-week fantasy starter regardless of the matchup.
Barber gets it done through the airSunday 10/12, 6:58 PM CT
Running back Marion Barber didn't find much rushing room in Week 6 against the Cardinals (17 rushes, 45 yards), but he caught 11 passes for 128 yards and a touchdown. His day included a 70-yard score late in the fourth quarter.

Our View: We predicted this, of course. Why wouldn't we? Fantasy owners will obviously take it, but Barber will need to get it done on the road in future weeks.
Breaston goes over 100, scoresSunday 10/12, 6:56 PM CT
Wide receiver Steve Breaston caught eight passes for 102 yards and a touchdown in the Week 6 win over the Cowboys.

Our View: Breaston has been doing his best Anquan Boldin impression and showing us that the Cardinals will be in good hands if they ever decide to trade the star wideout. This backup's fantasy value obviously hinges on whether or not Boldin is able to return after the Week 7 bye.
Rodgers throws two, runs oneSunday 10/12, 6:52 PM CT
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers tossed two touchdowns and ran for one score in the Week 6 win over the Seahawks. He completed 21-of-30 passes for 208 yards and rushed six times for 23 yards.

Our View: For those counting at home, that's four multiple-touchdown games out of the last five contests for Rodgers. He has certainly exceeded our expectations this year and should remain a solid start moving forward.
Carlson reels in first career scoreSunday 10/12, 6:49 PM CT
Tight end John Carlson scored his first career touchdown in the Week 6 loss to the Packers. He caught four passes for 22 yards.

Our View: Carlson bounced back from a catchless Week 5. The Seahawks really seem to like the rookie. He is likely to be inconsistent throughout this year, but he may have a bright future.
Jennings scores againSunday 10/12, 6:47 PM CT
Wide receiver Greg Jennings caught five passes for 84 yards and a touchdown in the Week 6 win over the Seahawks. His score was a 45-yard reception.

Our View: That's three straight games with a touchdown for Jennings. His worst fantasy day of the year was the 91-yard effort in Week 1. We had some questions following Brett Favre's move to New York, but there's no doubt that Jennings is a true No. 1 fantasy option.
Parker seals Week 6 winSunday 10/12, 6:44 PM CT
Defensive end Juqua Parker had a big game in Week 6 against the 49ers. He finished with four solo tackles, one sack, and an interception return for a touchdown.

Our View: Parker has 4.5 sacks over the last four games and is doing a solid job as part of the Eagles end rotation. IDP owners may use him as a future bye-week fill-in if the matchup looks good.
Four field goals for NedneySunday 10/12, 6:41 PM CT
Kicker Joe Nedney did much of the scoring in the Week 6 loss to the Eagles. He kicked four field goals and chipped in two extra points.

Our View: The 49ers have struggled to finish off drives this year, as evidenced by the fact that Nedney has seen multiple field goal chances in five of six games. Joe isn't a great fantasy kicker, but he can be useful in a pinch.
McNabb has solid daySunday 10/12, 6:39 PM CT
Quarterback Donovan McNabb completed 23-of-36 passes for 280 yards, two touchdowns, and one pick in the Week 6 win over the 49ers.

Our View: It's excellent to see McNabb have a multi-score effort after four straight one or zero-touchdown outings. He made some questionable decisions during this game and missed some red zone chances, but fantasy owners will take it.
Gore goes over 100, scoresSunday 10/12, 6:36 PM CT
Running back Frank Gore rushed 19 times for 101 yards and a touchdown in the Week 6 loss to the Eagles. He also caught three passes for 16 yards.

Our View: That's what fantasy owners expect out of Gore, who has now scored in five of the six contests. He is a stud. Meanwhile, the once-stout Eagles run defense has looked a lot weaker the last two Sundays.
Buckhalter imitates Westbrook wellSunday 10/12, 6:34 PM CT
Who needs Brian Westbrook? Running back Correll Buckhalter rushed 18 times for 93 yards and a touchdown, and he added seven catches for 85 yards in the Week 6 win over the 49ers.

Our View: Buckhalter is no Westbrook, but he did a darn good impression this Sunday. The Eagles are on the bye in Week 7, and Westbrook is likely to be back in Week 8.
Tomlinson ready to goSunday 10/12, 6:32 PM CT
Running back LaDainian Tomlinson (toe) is active for the Week 6 game against the Patriots.

Our View: We can only hope that Tomlinson's toe feels good enough throughout the game for him to be effective and handle his usual load. Fantasy owners are obviously free to start him.
San Diego Chargers Week 6 inactivesSunday 10/12, 6:31 PM CT
Week 6 inactives: QB Charlie Whitehurst (3rd), WR Chris Chambers, LB Derek Smith, G Kynan Forney, TE Kris Wilson, LB Jyles Tucker, OT Corey Clark, DT Ian Scott.

Our View: No surprises on this list, although apparently Smith isn't even part of a rotation at linebacker. Craig (Buster) Davis will start in place of Chambers.
Chambers outSunday 10/12, 6:29 PM CT
Wide receiver Chris Chambers (ankle) is inactive for the Week 6 game against the Patriots. Craig (Buster) Davis will start in his place.

Our View: No surprise here, as Chambers was doubtful and not expected to play. Philip Rivers will rely heavily on Antonio Gates, as usual, and may look more to Vincent Jackson, too.
New England Patriots Week 6 inactivesSunday 10/12, 6:27 PM CT
Week 6 inactives: QB Matt Gutierrez (3rd), RB Laurence Maroney, WR Kelley Washington, RB LaMont Jordan, G/C Dan Connolly, LB Eric Alexander, OT Wesley Britt, and LB Shawn Crable.

Our View: With Maroney and Jordan both out, the Patriots will lean heavily on Sammy Morris and Kevin Faulk.
Maroney inactiveSunday 10/12, 6:26 PM CT
Running back Laurence Maroney (shoulder) is inactive for the Week 6 game against the Chargers.

Our View: LaMont Jordan is also out, which means Sammy Morris should see a heavy workload. Kevin Faulk could also see a lot of action. The Patriots haven't been very open about Maroney's shoulder injury, but he is clearly hurting more than we know.
Cutler tosses two touchdownsSunday 10/12, 6:24 PM CT
Quarterback Jay Cutler completed 21-of-37 passes for 192 yards, two scores, and one interception in the Week 6 loss to the Jaguars. He also rushed three times for 22 yards and lost a fumble.

Our View: That's only the second time in the last 13 games that Cutler has been held below 200 yards, but he made up for it with two touchdowns. He has come down off his hot start but remains an every-week play in fantasy leagues.
Lewis has career-best daySunday 10/12, 6:21 PM CT
Tight end Marcedes Lewis caught three passes for a career-high 64 yards and a touchdown in the Week 6 win over the Broncos.

Our View: Lewis's best NFL day (74 yards) came in the 2007 playoffs, but this was his top regular season outing. He isn't targeted often, but he has found the end zone in two straight games. He is, at best, a low-end No. 2 fantasy tight end.
Pittman goes over 100Sunday 10/12, 6:18 PM CT
Running back Michael Pittman rushed 20 times for 109 yards and caught two passes for 16 yards in the Week 6 loss to the Jaguars.

Our View: We knew Pittman would step into a starting role with Selvin Young (groin) out, but we didn't know Mike Shanahan would completely ditch his committee approach and keep Andre Hall on the bench. Young could be back for Week 7.
Jones-Drew scores twiceSunday 10/12, 6:15 PM CT
Running back Maurice Jones-Drew rushed 22 times for 125 yards and two scores in the Week 6 win over the Broncos. He also caught two passes for 23 yards.

Our View: MoJo took advantage of an injury to Fred Taylor (head) and of a weak Broncos run defense. The Jaguars offensive line remains a work in progress, and they could welcome center Brad Meester back during the Week 7 bye. Jones-Drew could be primed for a big rest of the season.
Brady surgery went wellSunday 10/12, 6:06 PM CT
Owner Robert Kraft assured the media that quarterback Tom Brady's recent left knee surgery went well, the Boston Globe reports. "Thank goodness the surgery went well," Kraft says. "He'll be returning to Boston shortly and doing his rehab there. He's focusing on being as good as he can be next year. He's doing what he has to do. He really has a great attitude. I'm not sure I could be as up as he is." Brady tore his ACL and MCL in the season opener.

Our View: Even in rehab, Brady is painted as superhuman. He faces a long process, but he should be ready for at least the start of the 2009 training camp, if not well before that. With Randy Moss and Wes Welker signed for a while, Brady should regain much of his fantasy value prior to next season.
Jones sustains hamstring injurySunday 10/12, 5:57 PM CT
Running back Felix Jones exited the game against Arizona in the third quarter with a hamstring injury.

Our View: No additional information is currently available.
Rouse exits game with head injurySunday 10/12, 5:33 PM CT
Strong safety Aaron Rouse exited the game against Seattle in the first half with a head injury.

Our View: Rouse, who was nursing a knee injury heading into the game, isn't likely to return this week.
Wilson compiles 10 solo tacklesSunday 10/12, 5:27 PM CT
Strong safety Gibril Wilson compiled 10 solo tackles and one assist in the Week 6 loss to New Orleans.

Our View: Wilson has compiled 19 solos tackles in the past two games, and has five or more solos in four of five starts this season.
Gruden names Garcia Week 7 starterSunday 10/12, 5:12 PM CT
During head coach Jon Gruden’s presser after Tampa Bay’s win over Carolina, he was asked what would go into his decision about deciding on a starter for next week. Gruden responded by saying Garcia would be his starter in Sunday’s game against Seattle, according to the Tampa Tribune.

Our View: The Seahawks represent a fairly soft match-up, but Garcia is nothing more than a No. 2 fantasy quarterback at this stage of his career.
Rice gains 87 yardsSunday 10/12, 5:05 PM CT
Ray Rice had six carries for 23 yards and added seven receptions for 64 yards on Sunday.
