Vinny ruled out of finaleThursday 4/3, 11:43 PM CT
Not surprisingly, Vincent Lecavalier has been ruled out of Saturday's season finale after suffering a shoulder injury Thursday, according to the Canadian Press. Tampa Bay coach John Tortorella was not happy about the hit on his star. ''It's an absolute cheap shot,'' he said. ''We have stick fouls - stick foul after stick foul - and then I see that. It's a guy in a vulnerable position. It's an interference if the puck isn't anywhere near him, and that isn't called. It's an absolute cheap shot.'' Vinny ends the year with 92 points in 81 games.

"The shots, especially the one-timers and slap shots, that’s what bothers me the most,” Spacek said. “It’s a little bit sore, but I can play with it.” Spacek may have only 31 points on the year, but 21 of them have been with the man-advantage so he certainly deserves to be active on every team that he is currently taking a roster spot on.
Nabokov to rest on ThursdayThursday 4/3, 3:32 PM CT
Evgeni Nabokov will be on the bench for the Sharks on Thursday night when they take on the Kings, this according to the AP. “I wouldn’t play him just to tie Brodeur’s record,” head coach Ron Wilson said. “The plan now is for (backup Brian) Boucher to play in LA and (Nabokov) in Dallas. (The plan has) been in place for a while." Nabokov has to be at the top of playoff goalies this spring, perhaps the top goalie, but it's a smart move for the Sharks to give him a bit of a rest for what they hope will be a long playoff run.
Huet hot as heckThursday 4/3, 3:27 PM CT
Cristobal Huet continues to do everything he can to help the Caps to make the playoffs as he has gone 9-2-0 with a 1.75 GAA and a .933 save percentage since joining the squad, this according to the Montreal Gazette.
