Marc-Andre Fleury made 30 saves, including 10 in the third period,en route to his 10th win of the postseason as the Pens defeated the Flyers 4-2 on Sunday night.

Our View: Pittsburgh leads the best-of-7 series 2-0.
Staal adds empty netter in winSunday 5/11, 9:42 PM CT
Jordan Staal added an empty-net goal in the final minute as Pittsburgh came back to win after twice squandering one-goal leads. The Pens lead the best-of-7 series 2-0 over the Flyers.

Our View: Staal joined Sidney Crsoby and Marian Hossa who also scored in the win.
Talbot helps Pens go up 2-0Sunday 5/11, 9:39 PM CT
Maxime Talbot, a sometimes overlooked fourth-line forward on a team renowned for its stars, scored the go-ahead goal midway through the third period and the Pittsburgh Penguins took a two-game lead in the Eastern Conference finals by beating the Philadelphia Flyers 4-2 Sunday night.

Our View: Talbot played in 63 regular season games and scored 26 points, 12 coming by goals.
Coburn leaves Game 2Sunday 5/11, 9:36 PM CT
Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Braydon Coburn was struck in the face with a shot by Pittsburgh's Hal Gill early in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals Sunday night, according to the AP. The Flyers are playing the series without their top defenseman, Kimmo Timonen, who has a blood clot on his left ankle that developed in Game 4 of the second round against Montreal.

Our View: Gill took a shot from the left point that apparently deflected off Evgeni Malkin's stick and struck Coburn near the left eye less than two minutes into the first period. Coburn dropped to the ice, bleeding, but soon got up without assistance and went to the dressing room with a towel held to his face. The game was delayed for about a minute to wipe the blood from the ice.
Ribeiro could be suspendedSunday 5/11, 12:56 PM CT
Mike Ribeiro could receive a suspension after slashing Red Wings goalie Chris Osgood in the chest on Saturday night, the Dallas Morning News reports. NHL senior executive vice president of hockey operations Colin Campbell is reviewing the situation and could hand out a one-game penalty. Ribeiro was retaliating after Osgood used his stick to hit the Stars leading scorer in the face.

Our View: The Stars are down 0-2 in the series and certainly don't want to play without Ribeiro. We won't be surprised if the NHL lays down a suspension, though.
Downie to play in Game 2Sunday 5/11, 12:53 PM CT
The Flyers may turn to Steve Downie to help against the Penguins in Game 2, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. The forward has appeared in only four of the 13 playoff games thus far.

Our View: Hey, if the Penguins can win with 20 and 21-year-old kids flying around, why can't the Flyers? Okay, so maybe Downie doesn't strike as much fear in opponents as Malkin and Crosby.
Talbot wil playSunday 5/11, 12:49 PM CT
Center Maxime Talbot will play on Sunday night against the Flyers, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review confirms. He has been out since Game 3 versus the Rangers due to a broken right foot.

Our View: We don't know if Talbot will log many minutes or be 100 percent effective, but his presence will be a boost.
Lehtinen injures legSunday 5/11, 12:41 PM CT
Jere Lehtinen left Game 2 of the series against the Red Wings due to a leg injury, the Dallas Morning News confirms. He did not return.

Our View: We're guessing the Stars will be relatively mum about this injury moving forward, but we'll update Jere's status when more is known.
